  • What is a Yellow Diamond, then?

    A yellow diamond is essentially the same as a colourless (or ‘white’) diamond but with a higher nitrogen content. Nitrogen is the element which causes the yellow tone of a diamond, so more nitrogen in the right place equals more yellow!

  • How different are they to white diamonds?

    Yellow diamonds are still diamonds and so they exhibit the same properties. Fancy yellow diamonds can still have beautiful displays of fire and scintillation when cut well. They are also exceptionally hard and therefore superb for use in diamond rings.

  • How difficult are they to clean?

    Not at all difficult! Yellow diamond jewellery can be easily cleaned using a small toothbrush, or alternatively using an ultrasonic cleaner. Have a look at our video on how to clean your jewellery here for more information.
