Heidi Klum Removes Wedding Ring After Seal Does

Tuesday, February 21st, 2012

One wondered if these two were setting a new trend with keeping their wedding rings on even after they had separated. However, Seal recently removed his wedding ring and this of course, led Heidi Klum to do likewise. Naturally, with both of them keeping their wedding rings on for so long, there was a lot of speculation and everyone was wondering what on earth was going on.
Heidi was seen without her wedding ring when she went to drop her sons off at a karate class. This was in Los Angeles and obviously everyone noticed her new bare finger. She knew it too though she tried to appear nonchalant as the news guys did their usual job, focussing on her finger and taking pictures. Seal was first seen without his wedding ring on a rather auspicious day – Valentine’s Day and now it looks like finally Heidi has done the same too.
The couple were married for six years and this was one couple that people thought would be together for always. They renewed their vows every year, were very open about how much they loved each other and how they would be together. However, Seal has been known to party hard in the recent past and they have both had massive fights. So finally, it’s yet another celebrity marriage on the rocks. Though Seal says that there are hopes they could reconcile, it looks like it is the end of the road for the two of them.

Wedding Ring Lost At Toll Gate

Friday, February 17th, 2012

A man from Chepstow was returning home after a game of basketball and he had to pass the Severn Bridge Toll. As he had been playing, he had removed his wedding ring and had put it with some loose change. When he had to pay the toll, he accidentally paid with coins in which the wedding ring was also mixed up. The basketball had been played in Bristol and he was on his way back in his car to Bulwark where he lives with his wife.
He was in a hurry and he says that he grabbed the coins and handed them over. It was only when he got home that he realised that his wedding ring wan not there. So he called the toll bride company and told them that he had accidentally handed over his wedding ring with loose change at 10 pm that day. The yellow gold wedding ring was engraved with his wife’s name and their wedding date. The toll booth could not find it. So where could the ring have gone? It could have gone into the coin slot and then been ejected again and someone could have taken it.
The couple is appealing to anyone who might have found the ring to please give it back as it holds sentimental value for them. The man said it was not about the cost of the ring but what it meant to him and his wife that was important and he hopes that the person who finds it will feel the same and return it.

Wedding Ring Journey Through Calf’s Stomach

Thursday, February 16th, 2012

Three years ago, a tourist came to the Jelbart dairy farm and while he was petting one of the calves, he was sure that the calf had sucked and swallowed the wedding ring from his finger. The farmer and his wife looked all over for the ring but couldn’t find it and in all probability, they thought the ring was lost and the idea of the calf swallowing the ring seemed rather far fetched.
That calf grew up and it had to go to the freezer and while the butcher was rummaging through its innards, he made a startling discovery – a gold wedding ring. Obviously, the tourist had been right and the calf had swallowed the ring. As it was a wedding ring, everyone knew that it would be of sentimental value to the person who had lost it so they have been trying to get in touch with the owner.
The wedding ring has a date and some engraving inside it and Jelbart no longer has the tourist’s name and contact so he is hoping that he reads about it somewhere and comes up to claim his wedding ring. Three years in a calf’s stomach and now it is back outside and waiting to be claimed by its owner. The great thing is, the ring seems like it’s new with nothing to say that it has been inside a calf’s stomach for so long.

Engagement Ring And Wedding Ring Collection

Tuesday, February 14th, 2012

For so many years, Cartier has been designing engagement rings for the rich and famous and the jewellery store has been a part of so many celebrity love stories. Diamond rings are still so much a part of the best known love stories and Cartier has been fortunate to be the preferred choice of so many. For a jewellery brand that was first established in the 1840s, it’s been a long, long run of beautiful diamond rings and jewellery adorning both men and women.
Cartier has been the choice of engagement rings for both the Prince of Monaco when he got engaged to Grace Kelly and for the Duke of Windsor when he gave up the British throne and got engaged to the future Duchess of Windsor, Wallis Simpson. The Duchess had huge emerald ring as her engagement ring and recently, Cartier recreated some of her jewellery for the Madonna-directed movie, W/E.
And now, Cartier introduces a collection of engagement rings and wedding rings that is called Cartier d’Amour and it couldn’t have been named better. The engagement ring is a beautiful solitaire diamond set in a closed setting and this gives it a very modern look. The ring has diamonds set in a circle in a micro-pave setting. The collection is something that anyone would love to wear on their finger – rings of beauty indeed!

Which Finger Should The Wedding Ring Go On?

Wednesday, February 8th, 2012

In the normal course of things, it’s very clear but what is the correct protocol when it comes to same sex marriages? So many jewellery store owners are asked that question because a lot of couples don’t seem to be clear on the matter. While there is no hard and fast rule. There will be many who advise you about how to do it but the final decision is really up to the persons involved and they can choose whichever way they want to do it.
Many couples prefer to be different from heterosexual couples and they wear their engagement ring and wedding ring on the ring finger of the right rather than the left hand. While many favoured this, there were some who preferred to break tradition and wear the ring or rings as the case may be on other fingers and not the ring finger of either hand. There were some who wore the engagement ring on one hand and the wedding ring on the other.
Maybe it’s time now that the world is so much more accepting, of having some kind of guidelines for the engagement ring and the wedding ring. Why not designate a certain finger for the rings and couples can follow them or not according to their tastes. After all, it’s time that we acknowledged love in all forms and when it comes to expressions of that love, there’s nothing like a diamond engagement ring and a wedding ring to tell the world about it.

Home Improvement Store Helps To Find Missing Wedding Ring

Saturday, February 4th, 2012

In Columbus in Ohio, USA, a woman lost her wedding ring and never thought there were any hopes of getting it back again. However, she didn’t want to just let things be without making a latch ditch effort to find it so she went to a home improvement store to see if they could help her. This was a store in Arden and one of the employees was, to her good luck, a metal detector hobbyist.
This metal detector hobbyist offered to be of help and he decided to help the lady and her husband find the wedding ring that she had lost. He got together with another hobbyist and together they went off to the couple’s home, very confident that if the ring was anywhere in the vicinity of the house, they would find it. They arrived at the house and set off around it, searching for the wedding ring with their equipment.
They must have been looking all over for an hour when suddenly, their equipment detected something and they found the wedding ring among some vines. What a great joy it was for the couple. However, their luck did not end there. There was another lost ring of theirs that they found and they also found a set of car keys which had been lost. According to the couple, the only payment these two would accept was some chocolate cake and coffee, no money. There are still so many people with good hearts all over the world.

Heidi Klum Seen With Wedding Ring On

Friday, February 3rd, 2012

Has it become fashionable in Hollywood to be seen with your wedding ring on even after you’ve separated and you are on the road to divorce? There are many – both men and women celebrities that seem to like the idea of keeping their wedding ring on almost as though they want to let the world know that they have not moved on from their marriage. Heidi Klum is the latest on the bandwagon and she is still wearing her ring though the media is full of reports of how she and Seal have been having huge marriage problems and they have separated.
And yet, pictures have surfaced of Heidi dropping her kids off for a karate class with her wedding ring very much on her finger. What she did do however, was to turn the ring around so the diamond wasn’t visible. So why is she wearing it? For the sake of the kids? The strange thing is, Seal has also said that he will wear his wedding ring because he feels that a couple separating does not mean that the wedding ring should be removed at once.
One wonders if this is going to be a new trend among celebrities. Considering the huge amounts they spend on their engagement rings and wedding rings, will they keep them on after they go their separate ways? What if a person gets married four or five times – quite common in their world – will their fingers then be decorated with rings like notches on a totem pole? Food for thought indeed!

Blue Stone Ring Instead Of Wedding Ring For Katy Perry

Wednesday, February 1st, 2012

There was so much talk that even after she and Russell Brand decided to call it a day, Katy Perry was still wearing her wedding ring – almost as though she still wanted to salvage what was left of the marriage. However, those rumours have all been laid to rest now with her having taken off her wedding ring that caused so much speculation and replacing it with a silver ring which has a blue stone. She was seen around town wearing the ring almost like she wanted everyone to know that things were absolutely over.
The thing is, the couple had already filed for divorce and it very definitely looked like Russell Brand had moved on. However, the fact that Katy’s wedding ring was still on was enough for people to feel that maybe there was some chance that they would get back together again. It’s happened before with celebrities and even if it isn’t like that in regular life, celebrities are known to play by a different set of rules and what might seem impossible for others may just work for them.
With Russell Brand and Katy Perry, marriage seemed such a strange union considering how different they are. Right now, both seem to be dignified about it and not fighting over things in the media and one hopes they can put this behind them and be civil. For now, that’s a pretty ring on Katy’s finger even though it isn’t a wedding ring.

Lost Wedding Ring Takes A Trip To Egypt And Back

Tuesday, January 31st, 2012

When Helen lost her wedding ring at Marks & Spencer’s at Gerrard’s Cross little did she think that it would surface thousands of miles away. She is in sales at the store and she had been packing a number of things for various customers when she suddenly noticed that her wedding ring was missing. She got married in 1990 and since then, she has had her ring on always till now when she lost it.
Helen didn’t sit around doing nothing and accepting the fact that her precious wedding ring was gone. She decided to make an appeal to the person who might have found it and it was done through the Advertiser. The appeal was emotional – she begged the person who had found it to please return it as the ring had such sentimental value for her. Of course she got a number of responses, many of them were sympathy ones. Then, last week, when she walked in to work, she found that a man had left a note for her saying that he might know the whereabouts of the ring and he asked her to call him.
When Helen called, she got the biggest surprise of her life. The man had come to the store with his mother and Helen had been bagging their shopping. The lady had bought a Christmas pudding to take to friends of theirs in Egypt who she was going to see and Helen had packed it for her. The wedding ring had got stuck to the wrapping and it was when the lady opened it in Egypt that she realised that there was a wedding ring there and it had to have come from the store. The lady comes back home next month after her holiday and she will be carrying Helen’s treasured wedding ring with her. Imagine – that ring would have travelled over four thousand miles before it gets back onto Helen’s finger again. If only that wedding ring could talk, what a tale of adventure it would tell!

Wedding Ring Found After 20 Years

Tuesday, January 24th, 2012

In a city in Maryland in America, a man found his wedding ring – the one he was married with after twenty years. He had long since given up hope of finding it and then, out of the blue, someone knocked on his door and asked him if he had lost a wedding ring and could he describe it. So he did and the man went away and brought him his wedding ring.
Twenty years ago, Kelly lost his gold wedding ring and even though they looked everywhere, it was nowhere to be found so they just gave it up for lost. He and his wife Sue still live in their home and they were there when a worker asked if they had lost a wedding ring. Apparently he had found it while digging to fix a sign post outside their home, had taken it home and forgotten about it till he passed their home one day. So he decided to try his luck and locate the owner. Once he described the ring, the worker was sure that it belonged to Kelly and went home and got it for him.
This lost and found thing seems to0 run in the family because his mother had lost her wedding ring on their farm many years ago. Then, ten years later when they were ploughing their field, they found her ring. So they seem lucky in that they find what they lose. Kelly is so happy to be able to wear the ring he got married with and the worker is happy that he could join the wedding ring with its rightful owner.
