A widow in Derbyshire is devastated that after the death of her husband, a jewellery store in Birmingham cheated her. She gave them his wedding ring and signet rings as well as some other old jewellery to have lockets made for their two daughters and thought nothing of it when they were given the lockets. These lockets were meant to be Christmas presents for the girls so they could each have a piece of something their father owned.

Her husband passed away two years ago and she thought it would be a great idea to do this for her daughters and she trusted the jewellers so she asked them to melt down the gold and make it into lockets. All was well till months later when one of the girls spotted an identical locket in another shop and realised that the jewellery store had cheated them and just replaced the gold with standard and not hand-made lockets like they were asked to do.

The city council is investigating and one hopes that they can trace the original gold so the widow and her girls can have the satisfaction of wearing a part of their father’s ring. To date, the store hasn’t commented.

When Marie Nordmann got to 40 and felt that she wasn’t going to get married, she decided that she didn’t need anyone to give her a wedding ring – she could do so herself. One wonders however, if the men are so concerned, why don’t they just marry the woman in question with a real wedding ring? And does a fake wedding ring really keep away the men who are aggressive and pester a woman no matter what? It might just keep away the ones who could be seriously interested in the woman!

The Hollywood actress Hillary Duff got engaged Mike Comrie, a hockey player in February this year and it looks like wedding plans are on for the couple. Alicia Keys got what she wanted on the 31st of July when rapper Swizz Beatz slipped a wedding ring onto her ring finger. They had a very private wedding ceremony and it was away from the media glare what with everyone being focussed on what was happening at the Clinton wedding on the same day.

Alicia Keys is expecting the couple’s first baby and she and Swizz Beatz have been friends a long time as well as worked together. The wedding took a lot of people by surprise especially as Swizz had, just a week ago, denied that they were going to get married soon. There were also rumours after Keys and her manager parted ways that Swizz would take over that role, which he had emphatically denied.

It happened in China – it actually did. A lady named Wang lost her diamond wedding ring at a parking lot. This happened in the Fengtai district in China. Zhang found the ring but threw it away thinking that it must be a fake ring. Little did he know just how much that simple action was going to cost him.

The owner of the ring obviously looked for the ring and couldn’t find it and when she heard that Zhang had found her ring and had thrown it away, she went to court.
