Trust Robbie Williams to be different – maybe it’s expected of him. Well, less than a year after he got married to Ayda Field, he’s confirmed that he has lost his wedding ring. Maybe most men would feel terrible and go out and get another one but Robbie has very different ideas. He plans on getting a tattoo on his wedding ring finger to replace the wedding ring. Maybe so he won’t have to worry about losing another wedding ring again.

Robbie Williams married actress Ayda Field last year in a ceremony that created waves in Hollywood. The event was held in his luxurious Beverly Hills mansion. He first announced on his blog that he had lost his wedding ring. He already has a number of tattoos and he would like to tattoo an A on his wedding ring finger because, as he says, you cannot lose a tattoo as easily as you could a wedding ring. Robbie, who recently went back to Take That, has just recovered from food poisoning and he’s back to his recordings and his music tours.

Ayda has made a name for herself in Hollywood as a comedy star. She is the daughter of a movie producer mother and a Turkish father and acts in a number of TV commercials. She and Robbie have been together since 2006 and he proposed to her live on an Australian show by going down on one knee and then got married in a very publicized affair. Her huge diamond engagement ring was the subject of a lot of media pictures when she started wearing it.

He’s finally married. After years of battling with problems, Robbie Williams seems to have found his oasis of calm or, as he calls her, his Swiss Knife. Ayda Field and Robbie were married on Saturday in the grounds of his million dollar home in Los Angeles. The ceremony was very private with only close friends and family and till the last minute almost, even the guests did not know exactly where the wedding ceremony was going to be held.

To ensure that he wasn’t tempted to drink, there was no liquor served during the reception. The guests had been invited saying that it was an occasion to celebrate Robbie’s 20th year in show biz but they soon realised that it was a lot more than that.

Robbie Williams has been truly happy ever since he met Ayda and she seems to be the one leading him back into the road to living again. She prefers staying at home to partying too so the two could just be a couple made for each other. She’s made Robbie laugh again and that is no mean achievement considering what he’s been through.

When Robbie Williams went and proposed to girlfriend Ayda Field on a live show Australian radio broadcast, people wondered if there were wedding bells in the air. Till Robin put up a post on his blog saying they were not engaged. It seemed pretty serious however when he said the magic words, ‘Will you marry me?’ and she said, “Yes!” Then he went on to borrow a makeshift engagement ring from the talk show host to slip onto her finger.

As his agents took great care to inform everyone, apparently it was all just in fun though Robbie’s mother says she would love to hear about his engagement and would welcome a daughter in law. Robbie and Ayda have been together for over three years now so no one can be blamed for thinking that the proposal was for real. Robbie is on the comeback trail with a new album and a new boy band in the offing.
