Platinum And Diamond Rings Rule Hollywood

Thursday, December 23rd, 2010

Well, you have it there – platinum is the metal of choice for diamond rings in Hollywood. Most of tinsel town’s celebrities are opting for platinum diamond rings for both wedding rings and engagement rings. From Penelope Cruz to Megan Fox to Nicole Ritchie, it’s been platinum and diamonds all the way.

Why platinum? It could be because the white metal goes with every outfit you wear – gold doesn’t. It could also be because platinum tends to show off the stone better and makes it seem more dazzling. Many of them are also wearing eternity diamond and platinum bands.

The thing is, the diamond can be any cut or shape or design – platinum and diamonds are still a hot favourite. So you’ll find pear-shaped ones, the more popular round ones, square-cut ones, pave designs – and they all shine and dazzle in platinum.

Cobalt Chrome Wedding Rings The New Trend For Men

Monday, November 29th, 2010

Time was when men started looking around for something stylish when it came to wedding rings, not to mention something different. So platinum and then tungsten became popular. But there’s another metal doing the rounds today and getting very popular and that is cobalt chrome.

The thing about cobalt chrome is that it looks like platinum but it is so tough that it is scratch-proof. This is great when the man wants a wedding ring that matches his wife’s and yet, would like something that is tougher than white gold or platinum. It looks elegant and sleek and suddenly, it opens out a new fashionable range in men’s wedding rings.

The thing about cobalt chrome is that it looks so much like platinum and white gold that it can easily pass off as one of them and this makes the matter of matching wedding rings so much easier. The woman gets what she wants – white gold or platinum – and the man gets his tough metal which also matches. What perhaps is most comforting is the fact that it is more reasonably priced. It is as hard as a metal like titanium and it is also hypoallergenic – so what more could one ask for? Especially as this metal has been used for implants inside the body – so it needs to be compatible and non-reactive inside.

Eva Mendes Flashes Cartier Diamond Ring In London

Friday, October 1st, 2010

The star of movies like Hitch flashed a superb Cartier platinum and diamond ring on a wet, blustery night for the London premiere of her film The Other Guys. Her co-stars in the film are Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. In spite of the inclement weather, Eva manages to add colour and style to an otherwise dreary night at the do at Leicester Square. The film is about four detectives who fight crime on New York’s streets.

The main focus of her apparel was, of course, the diamond ring which flashed and dazzled everyone who was watching. It was designed in a floral setting and it was huge. The Cartier ring put the rest of her outfit in the shade, never mind that she was wearing a bright green dress and heels that were positively purple.

Eva Mendes has been holidaying and she made her way to London after being ion Paris for a while. News reports say she has been vacationing in Europe, going to all the tourist spots and the hot spots there. The sexy actress was a welcome sight on a wet, windy night.

More And More Engagement Rings And Wedding Rings Being Sold

Sunday, August 8th, 2010

With the divorce rate rising in the UK and with the recession, there seem to be more and more people wanting to hawk their engagement rings as well as their wedding rings. Why not make a bit of money with something that you are never going to be wearing again, seems to be the attitude. When the website Postgoldforcash came into being last year, little did they think that they would be buying so many rings but they estimate that they have bought 10,000 wedding and engagement rings to date.
Their first advertisement was aired on British television last year and it featured Ann Diamond and ever since then, it has been a hit with so many people who wanted to sell their rings. This year has seen a rise in the number of divorces and speculation is that with hard times comes splits and if this is the case, then the money from the sale of the rings should be welcome.

The reason this site seems to be so popular is also because they offer more than most others for the rings, You can sell your diamond rings, your platinum, white gold or yellow gold rings or rings with any other stones and you can expect to get a reasonable resale price for it.
