What most people are guessing is that it will be sold for around £24 million. This might seem like a lot of money but one must remember that the Pink Panther is something that will be prized by collectors and the news is that there are a number of them lining up to do the bidding.

So what does the Pink Panther look like for those who haven’t seen pictures of it? It is a rare pink diamond and is one of the most flawless diamonds known to exist. It is 25 carats in weight and Harry Winston, the famous jeweller was the one who designed it. It has come into the market after six decades of being owned by a private, anonymous collector. The ring is made of silver and there are two diamonds flanking this stunning diamond which has its colour classified as ‘fancy intense pink’. Sotheby’s is so excited that it is going to pass through their hands and they are looking forward to the auction with excitement.

To date, the most expensive diamond ring sold was the Wittelsbach diamond for £16.3 million and that was 35 carats in weight. This one looks like it is going to exceed that when it comes to what it will fetch. The auction will be held in Geneva next month.

It’s a unique, rare diamond and it comes in an unusual shade of pink. It has been put up for sale by a private collector who has owned it for over six decades. The diamond weighs nearly 25 carats and is expected to sell for anything around £23,000. It will be auctioned next month by Sotheby’s in Geneva.

Sixty years ago, the famous New York jeweller, Harry Winston sold this wonderful diamond and now after all this time, it has surfaced to be sold again. The diamond is cut in the emerald style with the edges being rounded a bit. It is said that there has been some wear and tear to the stone because of which there is a flaw in it but it is so small, it cannot be noticed. It probably won’t be at all visible after the diamond has been repolished. It is also quite likely the diamond will be listed and described as flawless.

The colour of the diamond has been classified as a ‘fancy intense pink’ and it is sure to generate a lot of interest and a lot of buyers bidding for it. There are so many people from around the world today who would give anything to possess such a rare jewel.

In the meantime, she’s waiting for the Playboy magazine in which she features to be out. She says that thanks to a professional female photographer she never felt uncomfortable being photographed for the magazine. The issue is slated to be released sometime in January. Named the ‘Vivid Pink’ it is said to be the biggest fancy pink diamond to ever be auctioned.

The unstated guess is that it will be snapped up by a Chinese buyer. Whether it is fine wines, jewellery or art, the Chinese new breed of super rich people are buying it all up. In fact, in most cases they are outbidding both the US and Europe at most of these auctions. Last years it looked like this dream run had come to an end but with the stock market prices flying once more in many parts of Asia, the market for luxury and rare items has jumped again.

She and Portia have been happy together for years and the Court ruling must have made them ecstatic knowing they could now publicly proclaim their love to the world.
