According to Michael Clarke, the expensive diamond ring is in a very safe place and this was all just a crazy rumour. Now one wonders why he didn’t deny the rumours right then when it happened. However, he has now told the Daily Telegraph that he could guarantee that it didn’t go down the toilet. He’s dismissed the whole thing as a brilliant rumour.

The couple had been together for three years and they split in March. Lara is a model and the relationship has been a turbulent one, with a lot of fodder for the press. Finally, they broke it off over the telephone and Michael Clarke was said to be devastated. He had hoped they could find closure in a dignified way but Lara did a tell-all interview after which there really was no going back.

She did the right thing and gave the high priced engagement ring back to Michael instead of flushing it down the toilet. All she wants right now, according to her, is to be away from the limelight.
