Survey Says Men Might Be Open To Wearing Engagement Rings

Sunday, February 19th, 2012

There’s been a growing awareness among men that they could wear rings too to show the world that they are engaged. More and more men are wearing engagement rings and some of them are wearing designer rings at that. The range of men’s engagement rings had widened and today there is a great choice of rings that come in different metals with a variety of settings.
A survey that was done recently by a jeweller and it was called the 5th annual proposal and engagement survey. According to this survey, around 17% of the men who were surveyed said that they would be happy to wear a men’s engagement ring. This isn’t really a new trend all over the world as there are places such as South America where it is very much a tradition. However, now it looks like men all over the world might soon be inclined to wear an engagement ring too.
There’s a lot of merit to men wearing engagement rings. Till now, it was only the man who spent money to get the girl something valuable. Now, women can reciprocate too and men too can be seen by the world that they are already spoken for. With more and more women working and earning good salaries, it seems only fair that the man get something to commemorate this happy day too. What would be interesting to see is whether this trend will continue and whether the woman will now take the lead and be the one to do the proposing. This year would be a good time to start considering it is a leap year.

Monday, February 6th, 2012

Men’s wedding rings haven’t just gone fashionable, they haven’t just included a wide range of designs and materials, they are also available according to their religious preference now. There are jewellers who are offering men very well-designed wedding rings according to their religion and it looks like there are men out there who want to make a statement and they are lapping them up. This is bound to be of great interest especially to men who are very religious.
The men’s wedding rings are available in various metals like titanium, stainless steel, white gold, gold and platinum, of course and tungsten and silver. The designs are traditional as well as modern – the choice is yours. You could have crosses as a design on the ring or maybe a symbol that signifies your religion. There’s a wide range available and the great thing is, you can shop according to your preference in price as well as metal. There is also a wide range of sizes available so no matter how thin or fat your finger is, you can be sure to get something for it.
It’s amazing how men’s fashions have grown in leaps and bounds and now, even wedding rings which men just picked up by virtue of size, seems to have become a fashion statement. Men are a lot more preoccupied with the way they look now and they take a great deal of interest in the things they wear. It’s become so important because what you wear seems to be a reflection of your status.

Now, More Of A Choice For Men’s Wedding Rings

Sunday, October 30th, 2011

Men didn’t have too much of a choice in wedding rings till a few years, maybe a decade ago. It was always the plain wedding band made of gold and the only unique thing about it could be the engraving and the date inside. Outwardly, all men’s wedding rings looked the same – some were slimmer, some were thicker. Then came a choice over the past few years of white gold and platinum wedding rings for men. Today, however, there is a vast choice for men to choose from.

The other metals that are finding favour with men are tungsten, palladium and titanium. Suddenly, a steely masculine colour became a lot more popular. Not just manly looking, these metals are a lot stronger than traditional gold and a lot more resistant to scratches. Today, there are even more options. Now, men seem to like a whiter look when it comes to wedding rings and what seems to be competing with white gold and platinum is silver. Suddenly, silver seems to have been elevated into this category and designers are mixing it with a small bit of other metals to keep them looking bright and making them more durable. Unlike traditional sterling silver, this will not tarnish and this makes it so much more popular.

Men’s fashions seem to have come a long way in the last few decades and men too, are looking beyond what is necessary to what looks good and is fashionable. This just means they want more choices in everything they buy – whether it is clothes or personal products to their wedding rings which they now see as a statement of style as well.
