There she was, at a book signing event and as she went about doing her book signing, the diamond ring flashed on her finger. She was doing a book signing do at Hertfordshire and there was this huge rock that sparkled on her finger so the obvious question was – was she engaged? After all, she has been seen around with Argentinean model Leandro Penna for a couple of months now.

Leandro was there at the book signing event too. Apparently, Katie had been holidaying with him recently in his home town in Argentina and when they got back, she tweeted that she was now sure that she was in love with him. She wasn’t sure before but obviously the trip made her mind up for her.

Katie was at the signing event for her new book titled Paradise and the media made the most of the event, trying to get a good picture of the diamond ring on her left hand as she held up the book for all to see. The couple met at a party organised by Elton John and they have been together since then. The party was held to celebrate the Oscars.

The news that Katie Price was seen around town with no wedding ring last week doesn’t seem to bother Alex Reid too much. Of course, that bare finger meant that there were rumours galore about whether or not the marriage was running into trouble. The fact that she had on a tee-shirt with a woman crying on it added fuel to the fire.

Alex Reid had a very practical explanation. He said that Katie was going for a shoot and that was why she had taken off her wedding ring. Apparently he takes off his wedding ring too when he gets into training. He reiterated that their marriage was still as strong as ever – wedding ring or no wedding ring.

So it’s the last tie removed and maybe that’s what makes it so final. Peter Andre had Katie Price’s name tattooed on his wedding ring finger and though he removed his wedding ring when they split up, he took his time to remove the tattoo. Well, it’s finally on its way off, as he goes through the laser sessions needed to remove it. He said he didn’t want to rush it and he was wondering if he would ever want to remove it – the primary reason being the kids. He doesn’t want to let their problems affect his children’s lives. However, it looks like Peter Andre wants to move on with his life like Katie Price has – so this is probably the last visible vestige of their life together to go.

Meanwhile, while he was seen around town with his finger bandaged, talk was rife about how upset he was over Katie and how she was handling their kids while fans were amused at her slip up on a UK TV Today show where she accidentally said. ‘Me and Pete’ instead of ‘Me and Alex’ – guess old habits die hard.

However, there is some doubt about the wedding ceremony being legitimate because the one who conducted the ceremony did not possess a proper license.

Maybe she did it because she’s also managed to entice ITV into covering the ceremony?

It looked like Alex Reid might be stuck with a cheap wedding ring. When Katie Price went to the store to pick out a wedding ring for him, according to sources there, she asked to look at the cheap rings and she really was serious. So she was shown the bottom of the line rings.

Apparently Alex asked what she thought of the rings but she insisted that as he was the one who was to be wearing it, it was up to him to choose. And choose he did, finally – a steel and diamond ring by Yunis that cost considerably more than the ones she was looking at. The store people felt that there seemed to be nothing romantic about the whole thing and it seemed more businesslike than loving.

In what seems to be a surprising turn-around, Katie Price has said that she is marrying Alex Reid, the cagefighter, putting to rest all hopes of a reunion with ex-husband Peter Andre. She might have hoped to get back with Peter but it doesn’t look like he is willing so she seems to have gone back to Alex and is reconsidering his proposal.

Alex’s representatives confirmed the news of them getting married. He’s got her a diamond engagement ring that costs £9,000 ring and it seems like they will be getting married soon. Apparently, they had looked at and liked a ring at a Cheltenham jeweler that cost £25,000 but Alex had the design copied for £9,000 after borrowing the amount to show her that he was really serious. It’s been a bit of a seesaw in Katie’s life – from one man to the other but it is apparent that finally, hopes of Peter back in her life have gone.

It’s final – or so everyone believes. The marriage between Katie Price and Peter Andre is over and yesterday’s news. We thought both had moved on. However, Katie’s still got her wedding ring on. Is this going to set a new trend among celebrities or has Katie just forgotten to take it off? Let’s face it, for most people, the wedding ring becomes a part of you and you tend to forget most of the time that it’s there.

Peter Andre is said to have bought his own place and moved out of their home. However, Katie been seen in a hotel in London with the ring still on her finger seems to have made people ask whether it’s really over. The trouble with celebrities is, one never knows.

Peter Andre came in to Los Angeles alone and maybe this is what sparked off the rumours. However, he seemed on top of the world as they strolled along the LA streets. Of course, the newspapers have been chasing him wanting to know whether the marriage is on or off and Peter Andre hasn’t said anything yet. This was especially so after having gone separately to two different parties a few days ago.

Could Katie drinking too much at times have anything to do with it? Peter definitely doesn’t like to see her in an inebriated state.
