Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy had a baby boy last week and they are both so incredibly happy. So is her older son, 7-year old Ryder who she had with Chris Robinson, the singer for the band Black Crowes. Kate and Matt have been together for a year now though they met a few years ago in Australia. The frontman for the band Muse and the Almost Famous actress say they have a great relationship.

Now that they have a baby, they are looking at a bigger place and they seem to have settled on a mansion in Malibu which is supposed to be all of 7000 sq. ft. And can be found in the exclusive section called the Pacific Palisades – and of course, it’s worth a few millions. She got divorced four years ago and has since been heard to say that she doesn’t really believe in marriage but it looks like Matt and the baby have made her change her mind. Right now, she is going to be in the UK till Muse finishes recording their next album after which they will go back to the USA and Los Angeles.

The engagement ring is a massive diamond ring and it is said to be worth over £12,000. News about the engagement surfaced when she admitted to it during the Today Show to Matt Lauer. She even showed off her wonderful diamond engagement ring. So it looks likes she is all set to get married now and has changed her mind about marriage. Though they haven’t set a date as yet, they are all ready to set up house as a family in L.A.

She didn’t make a big to do about it – no big announcement, no press interview. It just so happened that she was on the Today Show and Matt Lauer saw the huge diamond ring on her finger and asked her about it. And Kate said that she was waiting for someone to ask her to announce her engagement. So she’s engaged at last to her baby’s father, Matt Bellamy, frontman of the Muse.

According to Kate, they got engaged last week and they didn’t announce it but just waited till people realized she was wearing an engagement ring. The ring she is wearing is an emerald cut diamond which is around five carats surrounded by baguette diamonds and set in a platinum band. Together, it all seems to add up to around nine carats. Kate was being interviewed about her latest film Something Borrowed which she has been promoting. The film is based on two women who are vying for the attention of one man. The film is set to launch this week and this talented actress, winner of so many awards is looking forward to a period of rest after this.

Kate feels that this pregnancy is different from her first. She has a son from her previous marriage to Chris Robinson called Ryder who is seven years old. This time, she feels, this baby is wild and eager to make its appearance into the world. The baby is due in July.

When Kate Hudson’s marriage fell apart, there were so many who couldn’t believe what they were hearing. It had seemed such a perfect marriage and they both seemed a lot in love. However, it went the way of most Hollywood marriages and they both moved on.

However, now she is expecting a baby with her current boyfriend Matt Bellamy and sources say she is three months pregnant. So the obvious question is, will she marry him? The 31-year old actress does not seem to be in a rush to do anything of that sort though it looks like she is more than happy to present her son Ryder with a little brother or sister.

Matt Bellamy, the British rocker who is the frontman for Muse was more than ready to oblige to give her the baby she wanted. However, some reports are emerging that say they are already secretly engaged and that it happened at a hotel in London. Sources also say her mother Goldie Hawn is thrilled.
