Diamond Ring And Hair Of Elvis Fetch a Lot
Thursday, September 2nd, 2010The Heritage Auction which sold Elvis memorabilia last month realised quite a bit from the King’s possessions. Had he been alive, he would have been 75 today and there were many who wanted to own a part of him which is why this auction at Memphis drew a large crowd.
His stunning gold and diamond cameo ring sold for a huge sum and so did a lot of other pieces that were auctioned. However, his famous white piano didn’t sell because it did not get the asking price. They say it might be sold privately later. With Elvis dying so young it was obvious that the great performer he was, he would be remembered for years by his loyal fans.
What made news was the jar of dyed black hair of his that had been collected by his barber and was auctioned along with his other stuff. He was so famous for his black quaff and the hair no doubt was a great bit to remember him by for the person who bid for it and bought it.
