That’s what the rumour mills seem to indicate and one wonders if her magnificent diamond engagement ring is for sale too. Everyone knows that Elin wears the barest amount of jewellery so it’s no surprise maybe that she wants to sell off her bling. The news is that it all adds up to over £1.25 million.

Even if she has some pretty pricey pieces of jewellery, who would really want to keep memories of a soured marriage alive by holding on to those pieces? While it is still in the rumour stage that she has asked Sotheby to sell them off, we can understand who she wants them gone. Why keep something that reminds you of betrayal and all the ensuing bad publicity and heartbreak each time you look at it?

Some people might say it’s worth keeping fabulous pieces like these as heirlooms for the future generations. Others might say it’s all right to keep them as memories of a happier time.
