Paris Hilton is obviously bored of getting engaged so now she’s adding bling to her Bentley. Let’s backtrack a bit. She first ordered a Bentley and then proceeded to have it painted pink. Her custom made Bentley is being assembled in Crewe and then being shipped out to her. However, while it was still being put together, she asked for a dashboard encrusted with diamonds – no, not just one or two to add a bit of a sparkle but thousands of pounds worth of diamonds.

A pink Bentley was because she still hasn’t outgrown Barbie according to her and she always wanted a pink car like Barbie’s Corvette. The dashboard however, had even the Bentley crew in shock – and they must have had innumerable requests by the rich and famous for all kinds of changes and additions to the car.

Paris gifted herself the car for Christmas and instead of the Bentley emblem, she’s going to have her initials. The car is also going to have windows that have been tinted so she cannot be photographed inside the car by nosy newspapermen. Now Paris we know revels in all that publicity – so does she really want that? Or will she just be protecting her diamond dashboard?

Now we do know that male engagement tings or ‘mengagement rings’ as some prefer to call them are becoming very popular and fashionable so maybe it wasn’t such a surprise to hear about it.

Of course, this could make them a target of the diamond mine owners but they say they have the technology ready to roll. They subject graphite to really high temperatures and what you get is a diamond – comparable, it is said, to the best that comes out of the heart of the earth. It’s been a long and arduous journey but apparently it has finally been a success for the family who owns the company.

Let’s face it, a diamond is carbon. If only someone could replicate the heat that the carbon went through, what should result are diamonds. So maybe it is a possibility after all that these lab-grown diamonds will give the real ones a run for their money.
