Alicia Keys got what she wanted on the 31st of July when rapper Swizz Beatz slipped a wedding ring onto her ring finger. They had a very private wedding ceremony and it was away from the media glare what with everyone being focussed on what was happening at the Clinton wedding on the same day.

Alicia Keys is expecting the couple’s first baby and she and Swizz Beatz have been friends a long time as well as worked together. The wedding took a lot of people by surprise especially as Swizz had, just a week ago, denied that they were going to get married soon. There were also rumours after Keys and her manager parted ways that Swizz would take over that role, which he had emphatically denied.

Alicia, say sources, looked very lovely in a Vera Wang gown which was designed in a Grecian one-shoulder fashion. The wedding was held in Corsica with the Mediterranean as the backdrop with their close friend Deepak Chopra officiating. There has been a lot of negative publicity with Swizz divorcing his wife in May, announcing that Alicia was pregnant with his child and then getting married so quickly.

The singer and her rapper lover have decided to get married and it’s going to be a double celebration. They are expecting their first baby and they are engaged. Sources say that the wedding will be later this year, probably year-end.

Both are in music and both seem very happy together. This is not Swizz Beatz’s first child – he has two children from earlier relationships. Alicia has been in the news for her music, especially after her Grammy win and according to friends, both of them couldn’t be happier. For Alicia, it will be her first wedding and first baby.
