Memorable Wedding Photographs
No wedding is complete without the wedding photographs. In fact, wedding photography has become big business. Photographs are wonderful visual reminders of one of the most important moments in a person’s life. It has been said that a picture is worth a thousand words and indeed it is. Whether formal or casual, the wedding photographs capture the dream, excitement, spectacle and the drama of a wonderful moment, leaving it frozen in time to enjoy and remember for years to come.
Wedding photographs, when affordable, are best left to a professional wedding photographer. These specialists know how to deal with the lighting and a myriad other things and often have backup equipment so that they are not at a loss if one fails. They concentrate on the wedding and do not have to greet and talk to people.
Professional wedding photographs can be formal, informal, posed or candid or just a good mixture of all. Make sure the photographer knows what the couple wants. Most often, two photographers are hired - one to do the official, formal posed wedding portrait and another to take all the other photographs of the wedding and reception. The photographs can be outdoor and indoor, church or wedding ceremony venue and of course, the reception and partying.
Today, videos and digital recordings are done - however, there is nothing like having an album full of photographs to peruse and glance over. Technology changes very rapidly and videos and CDs may be replaced by alternate technology. Unless the wedding recordings were updated to the newer technology, future generations may not be able to view the pictures. All photography must include photographs, printed out and available without fuss or a device needed to view.
The church or other religious ceremony, with all the poignancy of entering the church, taking the vows, being given away, the first married kiss are moments to be cherished in photographs. The formal pictures, posed with near and dear ones, the couple at each guest table with all the guests, make up a photographic record of all present at the wedding. Other shots of informal and candid photographs can capture those emotive and funny happenings that can bring smiles many years down the road.
Wedding photographs allow a person to regress in time and relive those wonderful moments years ago. Moments to be shared with children and grandchildren and maybe even great grandchildren. Magical moments captured and held in time.
