The old song went, ‘Love and marriage go together like horse and carriage’ – however, in this day and age of high tech transport, does that still apply? The question that is no doubt often pondered upon is whether a wedding ring sets the seal on the love forevermore fact or not. Even more scary is the thought, is it fact or fiction?
Let’s put it this way – hope always springs eternal in the human breast. For so many millions all over the world, the day the wedding ring is slipped onto the ring finger is a day that has been dreamed about and waited for – and this goes for both the sexes. If this hadn’t been true, we’d have had a lot more single wedding ring-less people in the world today. For many, marriage just is a must – it’s like going to school or having a job. So what is the solution? The only practical advice would probably be for the couple to not just believe but make love and marriage going together a fact. This needs working together, not pulling away from each other. The fact that you wear a wedding ring that shows you belong to your partner should be reason enough to try to make it work. The moment you stop taking it for granted and do something to ensure that it grows everyday, you’re on the right road. And all you need to do is follow that yellow brick road, proudly showing off your wedding rings, to a lifetime of happiness. How magical you want the journey to be is entirely up to you. You can fill the road ahead with poetry and song or you could make it a one way street to boredom. Those wedding rings leave the choices in this matter entirely in your hands.
