Ever since business tycoon Nick Candy proposed to Holly Valance in the Maldives over the Christmas/New Year break, all eyes have been on her ring finger as she sashays forth between dos and events in London. She was seen at the Radio Times Cover Party and at the Faberge Big Egg Hunt party which was held at Quintessentially. The engagement ring was very much on again at the Radio Times party and she was all dressed up too – in gold with shiny shoes with her ring flashing as she walked into Claridge’s for the party. The two of them met in 2009 and they moved in together the following year and she was really happy – if you go by her excited tweets when he proposed to her in the Maldives just before Christmas. The billionaire tycoon and she seem to be made for each other and are so happy in each other’s company.

The ring went missing a little before Christmas Day last year and the couple from Florida who it belonged to wanted to solve the mystery of the missing ring. The ring had been on the dresser, in a cup and it had disappeared. So the couple hired a private detective who had been a policeman to help them get the ring back. They also announced a huge reward.
The policeman began by giving all the people who could have been in the house a polygraph test. Simultaneously, he also scoured all the pawn shops in the neighbourhood and then went further afield, even to New York. After all, anyone would remember an emerald cut 11-carat diamond engagement ring that had been put up for sale. The cleaning lady in the house failed the test and he realised that she was a suspect. However, she avoided him and the police had to be called in to take her for questioning.
She had taken the diamond ring and sold it to buy food and Christmas presents for her children and as well as pay off some bills. She had taken it to a jeweller and told him that she had inherited from an aunt who died. She has been arrested and charged. The jeweller got the reward money and the couple are happy that they hired a private detective to help them find the ring which is not just valuable but also of great sentimental value to them.

The X Factor star has apparently been wearing a diamond ring on her finger for over a month now. It looks like the 18-year old singer and her boyfriend Craig Monk are engaged. He is 21 and he is a hairdresser and they had both gone together in November to Los Angeles in America. That was when people noticed the small diamond ring on her left hand ring finger.

Not such a good thing, when it was still honeymoon days but like a good soldier, he went to fight for his country. There, unfortunately, his vehicle got hit by an exploding bomb. He was lucky however and didn’t lose his life but he was hurt and he was sent back home for one surgery after another on his hands. He also won the Purple Heart award for bravery.
That was when he decided to write about it all and he did. He wrote in for a contest called ‘My Perfect Union’ and it was being held by a jewellery company. Mike’s story was simple. Whoever deserved any award and accolades was the wife back home who kept things going, both the home and the children, without complaining. He wrote that for him, it was his wife who deserved all the praise because she had been there for him through everything.
He won the prize – and it was a diamond engagement ring. Though they were already married, this was a great gift he could give his wife and he is so happy to be able to show how much she means to him with this gift. He also got a cheque as part of the prize. The chief of the jewellery company was touched and inspired when he read Mike’s story.
