Lost Wedding Ring Takes A Trip To Egypt And Back

Tuesday, January 31st, 2012

When Helen lost her wedding ring at Marks & Spencer’s at Gerrard’s Cross little did she think that it would surface thousands of miles away. She is in sales at the store and she had been packing a number of things for various customers when she suddenly noticed that her wedding ring was missing. She got married in 1990 and since then, she has had her ring on always till now when she lost it.
Helen didn’t sit around doing nothing and accepting the fact that her precious wedding ring was gone. She decided to make an appeal to the person who might have found it and it was done through the Advertiser. The appeal was emotional – she begged the person who had found it to please return it as the ring had such sentimental value for her. Of course she got a number of responses, many of them were sympathy ones. Then, last week, when she walked in to work, she found that a man had left a note for her saying that he might know the whereabouts of the ring and he asked her to call him.
When Helen called, she got the biggest surprise of her life. The man had come to the store with his mother and Helen had been bagging their shopping. The lady had bought a Christmas pudding to take to friends of theirs in Egypt who she was going to see and Helen had packed it for her. The wedding ring had got stuck to the wrapping and it was when the lady opened it in Egypt that she realised that there was a wedding ring there and it had to have come from the store. The lady comes back home next month after her holiday and she will be carrying Helen’s treasured wedding ring with her. Imagine – that ring would have travelled over four thousand miles before it gets back onto Helen’s finger again. If only that wedding ring could talk, what a tale of adventure it would tell!

New Engagement Ring App For Android Phones

Monday, January 30th, 2012

There seems to be an app for just about everything today. An app to message, an app to remind you of what to do, an app to list your tasks, an app to make your appliances more intelligent and one wonders how long it will be before there’s an app that will breathe and do everything else for you! So why should engagement rings be left out in the cold?
There’s a jeweller who has an app now that makes choosing engagement rings much easier. Taking today’s audience into account, this app is available for iPhones, Android phones as well as for social networking sites like Facebook. So what does this app help you do? It lets you rotate the image of the diamond engagement ring any which way you want so you can see it from all and any angle. It also lets you view the engagement ring as it would look on a hand. The great thing about is the fact that there are so many options when it comes to angles, types and changing things around like the size of the diamond or the setting to see how it would look in every metal.
While choosing an engagement ring today, men want everyone’s opinions – their friends, family et al seem to be involved in the decision-making process. Maybe that is what the speed of technology has done to people – make them able to connect so fast that they want everyone they know to come on board when it means making a decision like this. When there is an incredible app like this one, it means the person can choose the options and send it off immediately to anyone whose opinion they value and wait a few minutes for a decision. For a generation that shares every single waking moment with an audience, this is a very welcome app indeed.

Special Valentine’s Day Contest With Diamond Engagement Ring Prize

Sunday, January 29th, 2012

The Rivergate Shopping Centre has organised something really special for Valentine’s Day. What more could lovers ask for than a beautiful diamond engagement ring free? That’s what the winning couple will get in the special contest that they have organised. Considering that Valentine’s Day is just a couple of weeks away, couples who are thinking about getting married might be wise to enter this contest and see if they are the ones who get lucky.
The diamond engagement ring is worth ÂŁ2000 and any couple knows that is not something to be scoffed at. The Centre has joined hands with the John Stewart Jewellers and their contest is called the Mr. And Mrs. Contest. The couples who enter the contest will have to star in a quiz show and this show has been designed along the lines of a similar one way back in the seventies. Once the field has been narrowed down to five couples, there will be a live event in which all will have to participate and the winners can get engaged right there at the event with the diamond ring they win.
According to the organisers, the ring is stunning and it’s going to be a really lucky couple who will be winning it. A ring to propose with, a live TV appearance and even better, a live event – could a couple really ask for more? For couples who want to take a look at the ring before they decide to enter the contest, the ring is on display at the jeweller’s show window. What a wonderful idea for Valentine’s Day, the festival for lovers!

Is Jessica Biel Going To Get Second Engagement Ring?

Saturday, January 28th, 2012

If rumours are to be believed, Justin Timberlake proposed to girlfriend Jessica Biel with a diamond ring. Only it was a rather small diamond ring and apparently she wanted something that was a bit more showy. Maybe he thought small was classy and elegant but it looks like she was looking for a bit more bling. Which is why even though the rumours about their engagement are so hot, there’s no ring to be seen.
According to sources, Justin proposed to her last month in Wyoming where they were on holiday. However, it seems that she wasn’t amused with the minimalistic diamond engagement ring. So according to people in the know, Justin Timberlake is going to ask his mother for help to help him choose a more suitable ring. He feels that she really should be given what she wants.
Of course, there are those who say that Justin proposed to Jessica because he wanted her to stop about his straying and it looks like there have been a number of instances where he was suspected of having played the field. This engagement of course would put those rumours to rest. And it would also, so they say, help her to keep quiet because his friends feel that he has no desire to get married any time in their near future. Justin is known to just love his single status and his freedom so it might be a long while before they actually get married. However, he obviously did not want to lose her so now it looks like he has the best of both worlds.

Chantelle Takes Off Engagement Ring

Friday, January 27th, 2012

It looks like there’s trouble brewing in the Alex Reid and Chantelle Houghton relationship. And less than a month ago, she was aired on TV flaunting both her engagement ring and her pregnant status. So what happened to make this sudden U-turn in the affair? Or is it just a speed breaker and will things be smooth sailing again? They have been together for nine months now and it looked like the news of a baby on the way would make them both very happy but news of Chantelle taking off her ring has hit the media.
Now why would Chantelle take off her engagement ring unless there were serious problems? Apparently, there’s been a lot of strain in the relationship for some time now even though she seems to have put on a brave front and both seem to have showed the world that all was well. With the removing of the engagement ring, it looked like she was all set to end it. However, their spokespeople tell the media that everything is all right and they are waiting with eagerness for the baby to be born. This, after Chantelle was seen storming out of the house after a row.
Just yesterday, however, she came forward and said things were fine and the winner of Celebrity Big Brother seemed very happy the way things were, tweeting about what she dismissed as rumours and saying that she removed her ring because it’s expensive and she is scared of being mugged or losing it.

Arg, Lydia And An Engagement Ring

Thursday, January 26th, 2012

Is there excitement or cynicism about Argwas having been seen at a jewellery store looking at diamond rings? He was spotted at a Loughton jeweller a few days ago and we wonder how the TV cameras were there so conveniently so the world could know about this move. All this of course, just before the beginning of the new TOWIE series – well, you can add two and two and see where it goes!
While he was examining the engagement rings, he was also seen to be texting someone no doubt sending them pictures and asking for their opinions. Was he sending the texts to a friend or was he asking Lydia? After all, she does have a lot of style and she wouldn’t want a diamond engagement ring that didn’t quite match up to what she expected.
What stood out was that Arg looked like the whole thing was one boring chore and not something that he was excited about. Considering that the two are supposed to be moving in together, it seems a bit strange that he is so untouched by any sense of excitement. There was a strong rumour recently that Lydia was pregnant but a few days ago, the couple denied it. This, after tweets from Arg about a little one on the way. Can you expect fans to be other than cynical about all these rumours, putting them all down as just ways of getting eyeballs for the show.

An Indiana Jones-Inspired Engagement Ring

Wednesday, January 25th, 2012

How far will people go to get an engagement ring that is unique? This man went the wholeni9ne yards and more because he knew his girlfriend was a huge Indiana Jones fan and he wanted to show just how much he cared enough to give her something that she would treasure. So he set out to design a ring that would be like no other but would be custom made and not off the shelf.
First, the engagement ring and then the proposal. He designed the ring with a bullwhip and then went on to look for a jewellery designer in Las Vegas, America to make it for him. It is a yellow diamond engagement ring and the colour of the diamond is reminiscent of the Idol in the series. The Idol might not ring a bell for everyone even if one has seen the movie or movies as the case may be but for an avid fan, it would be just the right button to push. And yellow happens to be her favourite colour. However, the ring took some time coming so here’s how the proposal went.
The guy proposed with a ring box and when the girl said Yes, he gave it to her. She opened it to find just sand inside the box and any other woman might have said No but not her. She understood the significance. This was to buy time till the ring got ready. When he did get the ring, he made a box fashioned out of old stuff to make it look like ruins inside and gave it to her with four other boxes, asking her to choose and choose wisely as it happens in the movie. If he has gone to so much trouble over the ring, one wonders what their wedding theme will be like!

Wedding Ring Found After 20 Years

Tuesday, January 24th, 2012

In a city in Maryland in America, a man found his wedding ring – the one he was married with after twenty years. He had long since given up hope of finding it and then, out of the blue, someone knocked on his door and asked him if he had lost a wedding ring and could he describe it. So he did and the man went away and brought him his wedding ring.
Twenty years ago, Kelly lost his gold wedding ring and even though they looked everywhere, it was nowhere to be found so they just gave it up for lost. He and his wife Sue still live in their home and they were there when a worker asked if they had lost a wedding ring. Apparently he had found it while digging to fix a sign post outside their home, had taken it home and forgotten about it till he passed their home one day. So he decided to try his luck and locate the owner. Once he described the ring, the worker was sure that it belonged to Kelly and went home and got it for him.
This lost and found thing seems to0 run in the family because his mother had lost her wedding ring on their farm many years ago. Then, ten years later when they were ploughing their field, they found her ring. So they seem lucky in that they find what they lose. Kelly is so happy to be able to wear the ring he got married with and the worker is happy that he could join the wedding ring with its rightful owner.

Monday, January 23rd, 2012

On New Year’s Eve, Johnny got married and he now wears a wedding ring. He got married to a lawyer named Victor Voronov and they came together to their press conference as newlyweds for the first time. It was at this press conference that he announced that he was getting back into figure skating on a competitive basis and that he would be very much a part of the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
The diamond wedding ring sparkled on his finger and he flaunted it. It is a gold ring with a band of gold and on either side, there is a row of sparkling diamonds. What a bit of bling for a wedding ring. He happily posed for pictures and made sure the ring was very visible so the media people could get some really great shots of it.

Holly Valance’s On-Off Diamond Engagement Ring

Saturday, January 21st, 2012

Ever since business tycoon Nick Candy proposed to Holly Valance in the Maldives over the Christmas/New Year break, all eyes have been on her ring finger as she sashays forth between dos and events in London. However, she seems to be rather shy of flaunting it and even when Nick was with her, there were occasions when her ring was not on her finger.
She was seen at the Radio Times Cover Party and at the Faberge Big Egg Hunt party which was held at Quintessentially. The party kicked off the egg hunt all over London and these proceeds will go towards a charity for children and there are many celebrities who have been involved in this project. Her huge diamond engagement ring, however, seems to be off her finger for most of the time since they have got back after their holiday. So the only explanation seems to be that it has gone to be resized. With such a huge diamond, they wouldn’t want to take the chance of the ring slipping off just because it is a tad loose.
The engagement ring was very much on again at the Radio Times party and she was all dressed up too – in gold with shiny shoes with her ring flashing as she walked into Claridge’s for the party. The two of them met in 2009 and they moved in together the following year and she was really happy – if you go by her excited tweets when he proposed to her in the Maldives just before Christmas. The billionaire tycoon and she seem to be made for each other and are so happy in each other’s company.

Patrick Swayze’s Wife Finally Removes Wedding Ring

Friday, January 20th, 2012

It’s been two years since the actor tragically passed away but his wife kept her wedding ring on. Now, finally, she has decided that it is time to take it off. She is doing it after having added Swayze to her name so in some way, she still keeps him and his memory with her always. They were married for 34 years and when he died, Lisa Niemi Swayze wanted at least the ring to keep him alive for her.
A few months ago, she felt that it was time to remove it because it was after all, a symbol of being married to him in a physical sense. So she changed her name and with that, she’s kept him with her. She also feels that she is connected to him and this goes way beyond just a physical wedding ring. In an interview, she says that her connection is even deeper than before so maybe now, she does not feel the need of a ring to feel that.
Her book about him, Worth Fighting For: Love, Loss and Moving Forward is about their lives together, the ups and the downs and how she loved him, no matter what. She feels that to keep a relationship going, you have to hang in there and not give up, no matter how bad things are. Patrick had a drinking problem at one point of time and she did move out but came back when he turned over a new leaf. Then, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and in a few years, he was gone. It’s been hard for her but she’s come out of it and she’s willing to go on with him being a part of her.
