Some Sportsmen Do Wear Their Wedding Rings While Playing

Sunday, November 6th, 2011

Most sportsmen remove their wedding rings when they are playing a sport – especially in a competitive or a professional level. This is usually the norm all over the world – you hardly see any sportsman who is married having his wedding ring on during a game. However, there are some today from all over the world who prefer to keep their wedding rings on during a game.
Ben Roethlisberger who got married a few months ago is one of them. This American footballer who plays as a quarterback has had quite a reputation off the field for some time now. He plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers who are a part of the National Football League. However, after he got married, he seems to have become a model married man. He wears his wedding ring all the time and when he is playing, he covers it with a piece of tape. So everyone watching him knows he has his wedding ring on and he says his wife loves that. When a celebrity football player of his stature does something, everyone notices.
Other sportsmen have also been seen wearing their wedding rings – with or without tapes. Some of them feel that the ring could be a deterrent in a game and prefer to keep it off for the length of the game. Very much like surgeons who prefer to keep their rings off while they are performing a surgery. On or off really is a personal preference unless it interferes with what you are doing.

Wedding Ring Bearer Is An Owl

Saturday, November 5th, 2011

A couple from Cotull, Lancashire, who are wildlife enthusiasts, had an unusual wedding. Their wedding ring bearer was an owl – a barn owl - and it succeeded in stunning all the guests at the wedding. When they got married a few days ago, they distributed white tailed sea eagle pins as wedding favours. This was done to encourage their guests to give donations towards preserving the sea eagle population in Mull instead of giving them gifts.
Their wedding was very different, to say the least. Their wedding rings were made of black zirconium and they were dressed in black too. They got married in Wigan and came to Mull for their honeymoon. They felt it was great to know they had done something worthwhile instead of all the gifts they would have received from their guests. They feel that every time they go back to Mull, they will remember that in some small way, they have made a difference.
The couple has been dating for a decade and apparently they had always said that when they did get married, they would ask their guests to make donations rather than buy gifts. Well, they had their wish come true and they feel proud that they have been able to donate to a worthy cause. The sea eagle had become extinct in Britain for over seven decades and it is only with a programme where the birds had been reintroduced at Mull that the population is growing. It is the largest bird of prey in the country and this is truly an amazing success story.

New Diamond Engagement Ring On Lottery Winning Couple’s Wish List

Friday, November 4th, 2011

ÂŁ101 million is no mean winnings to scoff at and the lucky British couple who won it have been planning a great many things to do with that money. The winners are from Cambridgeshire and live in Wisbech. The Dawes were overwhelmed by their win and they have already begun planning how to spend that money.
One of the things they want to buy is a house in Chelsea, as close to the famous football ground as they can. They are obviously big fans. He is a shift supervisor and she is a volunteer in the Heart Foundation and they seem to have plans for all their friends with the money. Of course, one of the main buys will be a diamond engagement ring. They aren’t married simply because they couldn’t afford to. The couple also wants to buy a house in Portugal, go on a skiing holiday and holiday in Las Vegas.
What is admirable is that they want to make all their friends millionaires too and they are going to be doling out their money. There will be around fifteen to twenty people who are going to benefit. They are even buying a Rolls Royce for her father even though he can’t drive. They are also drawing up a list of charities to support.

Kim Kardashian Gets Rid Of Wedding Ring

Thursday, November 3rd, 2011

The celeb wedding of the year is over after precisely 72 days of marriage and the over-million pound diamond engagement ring and the wedding ring were conspicuously absent from Kim’s finger as she jetted off to Australia. The wedding between Kim and Kris Humphries was spectacular to say the least and was played out to the masses like one huge reality show. And now, a few months later, it’s all gone.
The trouble is, Kris Humphries doesn’t quite realise what has hit him and he doesn’t seem to be able to take it in that it’s all over. It could be because he isn’t wired in the usual Hollywood way – tied together today, free tomorrow with each one going his or her way. That really is the way the cookie crumbles in Celebrityville and unfortunately, he doesn’t seem to have learned the ropes as yet. His wedding ring seems to be off too and sources say he was seen moving out boxes from their New York hotel room. Of course, that fuelled the rumours – it was bound to.
Unfortunately, what also seems to be making the rounds are stories that it was all done for money. They had such a blast with so many sponsors and they made money out of every picture taken, every article written. Was that all it was? Has marriage become a money making racket? Most celebrities wouldn’t stoop to that so maybe it was just a case of not knowing each other well and rushing into it. According to his friends, Kris had no inkling she was going to file for divorce and he is shocked. Looks like most celebrity marriages don’t really stand a chance for one reason or another.

Wedding Ring Doesn’t Stop The Blame Game

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011

The film had a very unimpressive opening and now the blame is flying thick and fast. The 3-D remake of the film, The Three Musketeers does not seem to have lived up to its expectations and the very first week was very disappointing in spite of the huge build up to the release.
What was very surprising is the fact that Milla Jovovich, the female star in the show tweeted about the deplorable efforts of the film’s marketing team, Summit Entertainment. The usual target when a film does badly is the marketing team and it happened here too. And Milla tweeted even before the week’s collections could be tallied. Rather strange as she is married to the film’s director, Paul Anderson. So what was she doing being so sarcastic when she was wearing his wedding ring? Or was she trying to shift the blame away from him?
Summit Entertainment is the marketing team that was behind the whole success of the Twilight series and Milla feels that after that huge success, they did not take the work needed for this film seriously. She felt that it should have been promoted as a family film, full of fun. Sources from the marketing team however, say that she hadn’t seen the campaign and so what she says is irrelevant.

Twilight: Wedding Ring Promises Reel or Real?

Tuesday, November 1st, 2011

Was the Twilight wedding scene which was shot recently just a reel scene or was it a lot more? Everyone has been waiting for the movie which features the wedding scene and the actors’ real life love affair too is very much in focus right now. So when Robert Pattison was asked about it at a press conference in Sweden and he admitted that a real priest had been used in the ceremony, that made him and Kristen an actually married couple even though the marriage wasn’t registered. However, they did not get married as Robert and Kristen but as Edward and Bella so that makes it complicated.
There’s more of course, like there always is and the reticent Kristen is said to have told the press that the love scenes in the movie were so steamy that they could be R rated. Well, that would just make the fans rush to the theatres even quicker when the movie is released. The first part will be out in a couple of weeks. The wedding ring has already been showcased in the press earlier but diehard Twilight fans will still want to watch as it is slipped onto Bella’s finger in the movie.
It must have been difficult for the couple as they are together in real life too though neither one admits it. The scenes are shot with dozens of people around and with instructions on how to do something or what not to do flying all over the place. Does this make for a realistic performance? Well, that’s what great acting is all about – getting past the set to portraying the dream. Will the movie do that? We just have to wait till it’s released.
