Like her sister did before her, Kim Kardashian too, is going to have her wedding televised. The high profile reality show star is all set to have the exchange of her wedding rings and the entire ceremony filmed and she is in negotiations with E! to share her special moment with all her fans. Will she think it an intrusion into her privacy? We think not as she is so used to being a reality star and she probably does not notice those cameras any more.

The company E! is Ryan Seacrest’s and it looks like they are planning a two hour extravaganza and it will be featured as a special show on the network. For Kim, she feels the most important day of her life just has to be shared with all her loyal viewers. The Kardashian show is into its sixth season on American TV channels and it does not look like the ratings are going down any time soon. That’s why the executives at E! feel that the show is going to have gold ratings.

Kim Kardashian got engaged to Kris Humphries recently and she has been showing off her diamond engagement ring which is a huge piece of bling. It’s been flashing on her finger in all its dazzling glory and anyone who has or is getting engaged will no doubt have their ring compared to this huge rock.

They were spotted shopping for engagement rings and everyone felt that Paris Hilton was ready to leave behind her wild ways and settle down. She had been talking about how she felt she was in a good place with Cy Waits and it looked like she was serious. However, a recent statement that has been released says that she and Cy are not together anymore.

Her representative was the one who issued the statement that it was an amicable split and that they have decided to go their separate ways. And yet, just a week or two ago, they seemed so much in love and so together. In fact, Paris looked very content with life and she even tweeted that they were very happy. So what happened suddenly? Even her family seem to feel that Cy was a good influence on her.

Paris made an appearance on the George Lopez show to confirm the split and she says though they are good friends, the relationship just couldn’t go to the next level. Cy, a former nightclub owner is the one who has put her back on the rails, helped her keep in shape and of course, with whom she was spotted window shopping for engagement rings. She hasn’t tweeted about the split as yet and her friends feel that she really isn’t ready to take any relationship to the next level and that perhaps is the problem.

He’s nothing if not generous. When he and Crystal Harris decided to break their engagement, he allowed her to keep her engagement ring as well as the car he had given her. Sources say that she is the one who walked out of the engagement so it comes through as really generous on Hugh Hefner’s part to allow her to keep these gifts and not demand that she returned them.

So what did he get out of the engagement? Hugh Hefner seems very glad to have got his dog back. Apparently Crystal dropped by at his mansion to return his gifts. They included the engagement ring, the Bentley and his Cavalier King Charles who he calls ‘Charlie’. He took Charlie back and asked her to keep the other gifts. Who would have thought Hugh Hefner would be so soft? Well, that’s a side of the Playboy empire that most people don’t know about.

Crystal Harris says that she took those gifts back because she felt it was the right thing to do. Pretty decent of her, one would think. And her diamond ring, which has a 3-carat diamond was top of the list. She must have been thrilled with the generous gifts. Apparently, he also got his Playboy cover which was going to feature the new ‘Mrs. Crystal Hefner’ changed to talk about the runaway bride. So he’s got a humorous side as well as a soft side. What a man!

On June 22nd, that is, last Wednesday, Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz got married secretly in New York and though they had been seen together, it was a big surprise to everyone. After all, they are both award winners and both famous stars but unlike the usual Hollywood fanfare, there was no leaking news, no huge fuss and no massive guest list at the wedding ceremony.

In fact, when they exchanged rings, there were only four guests present. Now that is what we call an anti-Hollywood wedding. Their two children were at the wedding. Daniel’s daughter, Ella, is 18 and Rachel’s son is 5. There were two family friends present as well.

There have been record sales of diamond rings especially at the New York auction of Christie’s last week. Suddenly, there seems to be a renewed interest in the auction of jewellery and in this one, diamond rings were the ones that seemed to draw the most bids. In fact, two of them were sold for over £60,000. In all, the auction pulled in sales of nearly £7 million.

There were two rings that were the stars of the auction. The first was a diamond ring with an over-46 carat diamond in the centre and with two one-carat diamonds which were pear-shaped on either side. The ring was set in platinum. The second was also a diamond and platinum ring and the diamond in the centre was over 10 carats and this too was flanked by two small pear-shaped diamonds.

The other diamond rings that were sold were a colourless 10 carat diamond ring and a yellow diamond ring where the stone was an emerald cut one, surrounded by two diamonds which were trillion cut. Also sold were a pair of yellow diamond earrings where the stones were square cut and set in platinum and gold. This auction seems to have heralded in a great season for Christie’s.

The trailer for Breaking Dawn has just been released and everyone who is a Twilight series fan is waiting to see what Bella, the heroine’s wedding ring and wedding dress are going to look like. According to the book, the wedding ring that Edward gives Bella is his mother’s ring, an oval face set in a narrow gold band. The face was set with rows of glittering diamonds and around it was a fragile gold web made in gold. The latest news has it that the wedding gown has been designed by Carolina Herrera, the famous dress designer. There were ten designers who were asked to do the designing and it looks like Herrera won the contract. In the trailer that was released recently, there were glimpses of Bella in the gown. All one could tell was that it was lace and it was a bit off the shoulder. Whatever the design, it will be a classic and timeless because that is what the Herrera wedding dresses are known for.

The Twilight series has evoked such a great interest among viewers and fans just can’t wait to get a glimpse of what Bella is wearing so they can go out and get look-alikes too.
