Prince Will Not Wear Wedding Ring

Wednesday, April 6th, 2011

Only a signet ring is acceptable for British royalty and a royal prince will not wear a wedding ring. Following this tradition, Prince William will not be wearing a wedding ring either, as he stated earlier. For all royal weddings, this has been the norm and something that has been accepted and followed. However, the Middletons don’t think so.

Kate’s mother stated that a wedding ring had been bought for the Prince and this seems to have stirred up a hornet’s nest because it might just set a new precedent. Surprisingly, everything has gone smoothly till now but this could cause problems. Will the Prince then decide to change his mind and put on the wedding ring that Kate has for him? One has to wait and see.

What is certain is that the wedding of the decade is almost upon us and the whole world is watching with bated breath for it to unfold. A royal wedding is like a fairytale – something that the stuff of dreams is made of and maybe that’s why so many people follow every bit of it so avidly. So wedding ring or no ring, there’s going to be a lot of excitement in the air soon.

No Sign Of Kelly Brook’s Engagement Ring Or Wedding Ring

Tuesday, April 5th, 2011

Kelly was spotted recently with a diamond ring on her finger that dazzled and sparkled so you can imagine why everyone automatically assumed that it was an engagement ring. Then last week, she was spotted with two rings on her finger so the rumour mills were rife again with the gossip that the couple must have got married secretly.

She may be pregnant but that did not stop her from partying till the early hours of the morning over the weekend because it was her partner Thom Evans birthday. In honour of his 26th birthday, she even wore heels and dressed up even though she said that she will get back home and change into her tracksuit and get comfortable. She made every effort to get dolled up for the occasion even though her pregnancy must have made her feel a bit uncomfortable.

Seeing the rings on her fingers, everyone thought they had got married but at the birthday party, there was no evidence of any of the rings on her fingers. The couple are expecting a baby girl and they are so excited. They have been together since November last year and they are both eagerly awaiting the new addition in the family.

Heirloom Diamond Ring Flushed And Found

Monday, April 4th, 2011

You wonder how people can flush their rings down the toilet, especially when it’s not just a once in a while thing but, according to the news, happening ever so often. Well, this time, in a town in California, America, it was an heirloom diamond ring that went down the toilet bowl and this is the story of how it was rescued and back with the owner in time for her to celebrate a happy twenty years of marriage.

Her late aunt’s husband had given her his wife’s diamond ring which she wore and Yolanda took it off at night and wrapped it in a piece of tissue paper. Then, forgetting that she had done that, she pulled the flush and she immediately realised what had happened. She couldn’t sleep all night and in the morning, she had to drive her son somewhere so she asked her husband to find a plumber to retrieve the ring. So the husband called in a plumbing company and they sent three men to find it.

Using special plumbing cameras, they located the diamond ring in half an hour, in a pipe thirteen feet away from the house. Using coat hangers and then a small snake-like wire, they were able to get the ring out. Though Yolanda was still away, her excited and happy husband messaged her to tell her the ring had been found. They celebrated with a great anniversary lunch and Yolanda is so glad she got the ring back because it means so much to her in a sentimental way.

Jewellery Box For Men’s Wedding Rings And Things

Sunday, April 3rd, 2011

Jewellery boxes are going unisex and with men possessing more jewellery than they did before, maybe you can share that jewellery box now with your husband or your boyfriend. Jewellery designers have stepped in and are designing jewellery boxes for men to put their precious pieces in and the whole look is androgynous and very smart and stylish. That’s the great thing about it – both men and women can use these new boxes and there are a number of celebrities who have already picked them up so we’re sure it is going to become fashionable to own one now.

There are a number of young designers who seem to have jumped onto the bandwagon of unisex jewellery in the recent past. One of them from New York says that many women seem to like the stylish and non-fussy jewellery that he makes and he puts his inspiration down to a rock and roll sensibility which he feels goes beyond the genders. Joan Collins seems to be one of those women who likes the look of this new jewellery trend because it is so much more modern and appealing, without being showy. Little wonder many jewellery designers are sizing men’s jewellery down to suit and fit women.

So will there cease to be a men’s and women’s section in the jewellery stores? Maybe not, but the unisex section is bound to attract a lot more men and women now and it is sure to have a lot more choices. Man are wearing a lot more jewellery now and women seem to be dressing down for certain occasions so it seems just so right to have this middle of the road meeting ground for both sexes. And with jewellery going down that road, can jewellery boxes be far behind?

Tennis Ace Maria Flashes Her Huge Diamond Engagement Ring

Saturday, April 2nd, 2011

Maria Sharapova launched a tennis web TV show the other day and one could not help noticing just how huge and sparkling the diamond ring on her finger was. Yes, we all know she is engaged and that her diamond ring is dazzling but at the show launch, maybe the lights picked the dazzle up even more. Not that Maria flaunted it – she’s not the type to do that – it’s just that the engagement ring is really spectacular.

Maria Sharapova ruled the women’s tennis circuit at one time and she brought glamour into it with her tall, willowy blonde looks and her designer outfits. However, her single-minded winning streak has been marred in recent years with injuries and she lost the first spot but she never gives up. This new show will choose and follow the careers of six new aspiring women tennis players and their on-court and off-court lives will be shown on YouTube. The six have already been chosen from around the world. The launch took place at a well-known beach hotel in Miami. She was in a simple outfit but her diamond ring provided all the dressing up she needed.

Maria is engaged to Sasha Vujacic, the Serbian star of the New Jersey Nets and he slipped the magnificent ring on her finger in October of last year. The diamond ring is supposed to be worth over £150,000.Maria, who was born in Russia and trained in the US had to have an operation for an injury three years ago but she has come back to the game and though she isn’t No.1 anymore, she has managed to win three titles.

British Men Prefer To Propose With An Engagement Ring On Holiday

Friday, April 1st, 2011

Four out of ten men in the UK take the woman they love on a holiday and then propose to them. Maybe they want to get away from it all and put the woman in a relaxed frame of mind before they pop the question. And the most favoured destination? You’ll never guess – it’s the US! At least that is what a recent poll survey has found. No blue seas or blue skies on a deserted island? Oh no – it’s America and probably a nice restaurant in which to do the proposing. If not, it was a well-known landmark or monument. If it wasn’t the US, the choice of destination was Spain, France or Italy.

So does this getting away to do it and slip the engagement ring on the girl’s finger make them more confident? Apparently not, as many of the men were nervous and unsure. The survey also showed that many men did not feel that the proposal went as they had planned it and they felt that their nerves were the cause of the proposal being botched up. They also felt that they just didn’t seem to find the perfect moment in which to propose. Most of them spent over 500 on the engagement and around £2000 on the engagement ring. They also spent 2 ½ to 4 months preparing for the holiday.

So did the women have an inkling as to what awaited them? Over a quarter of them were sure they were going to get a proposal while 7 out of 10 suspected that it would probably happen. Where the men were concerned, many of them were too nervous to propose at the beginning of the holiday and waited till the middle or even till the end – that was how nerve-racking it was for many of them.
