Heirloom Diamond Ring Flushed And Found
You wonder how people can flush their rings down the toilet, especially when it’s not just a once in a while thing but, according to the news, happening ever so often. Well, this time, in a town in California, America, it was an heirloom diamond ring that went down the toilet bowl and this is the story of how it was rescued and back with the owner in time for her to celebrate a happy twenty years of marriage.
Her late aunt’s husband had given her his wife’s diamond ring which she wore and Yolanda took it off at night and wrapped it in a piece of tissue paper. Then, forgetting that she had done that, she pulled the flush and she immediately realised what had happened. She couldn’t sleep all night and in the morning, she had to drive her son somewhere so she asked her husband to find a plumber to retrieve the ring. So the husband called in a plumbing company and they sent three men to find it.
Using special plumbing cameras, they located the diamond ring in half an hour, in a pipe thirteen feet away from the house. Using coat hangers and then a small snake-like wire, they were able to get the ring out. Though Yolanda was still away, her excited and happy husband messaged her to tell her the ring had been found. They celebrated with a great anniversary lunch and Yolanda is so glad she got the ring back because it means so much to her in a sentimental way.
