JC Penney and Condé Nest Launch Engagement Rings And Bridal Jewellery

Wednesday, February 9th, 2011

The two big names have launched Modern Bride, a range of jewellery that any modern bride would love to have. It is an exclusive range of jewellery and it gives the US buyers the trust and quality that these two names stand for. They call it a very comprehensive range and they feel that the designs target the modern young woman of today. However, the line also has a timeless feel about it.

For example, the engagement ring is very often something that the couple shops for together today and the bridal shopping is also done often with friends and family. So, to cater to this, the stores have a lot of the brand’s in-store material and the whole range is set at the back of jewellery stores to give the couple a very intimate feeling. For additional styles and designing, couples will be able to do so on an iPad provided by the store so they can get just the engagement ring they want. So much planning and pride goes into an engagement ring which most couples want to be unique and which they treasure for a long time.

The salespeople undergo very special training so they can give good, professional advice to couples when they are choosing their engagement rings. They will be trained to provide useful ideas about a diamond’s cut, carat, size as well as the metal that will be the best for the design. They will also be trained on trends and fashions so that they can give people who are shopping the best insights. Most importantly, they will be trained to de-mystify jewellery terms so that couples understand exactly what they are buying and will be educated on what to look for.

Diamond Rings In A Garage Sale Teapot

Sunday, February 6th, 2011

You read about it in stories. It’s really not that usual in real life to go to a garage sale and go home and discover a fortune. However, that is what happened to a lady in New Zealand when she went looking for stuff at a garage sale. She picked up two teapots for a few New Zealand cents and when she got home and started cleaning them, out fell a little jewellery box.Inside the jewellery box was an obituary that was faded with age, a large opal, an engagement ring which had a huge diamond and a wedding ring. Of course, the lady who was a regional councillor in the area realised that these were someone’s treasured possessions and she went all the way back to where the garage sale was being held. The lady at the garage sale was so thrilled because the rings were her grandmother’s which no doubt had been hidden in that teapot many years ago and forgotten. The strange thing is, this is not the first time this has happened to the regional councillor. Some time ago, she had bought a painting for a few New Zealand cents and a dealer later told her that it was a Menzies Gibb original. And all she had wanted was the frame of the picture – the dealer offered her 2000 New Zealand dollars for the picture. Now some people just seem to have the knack to picking up treasure!

And Now, Vera Wang Introduces A Bridal Collection With Diamond Rings

Saturday, February 5th, 2011

She’s the designer that everyone knows about – and her designs are featured on catwalks around the world. Now Vera Wang is diversifying into a bridal collection and it’s going to include a lot of things including diamond rings. It’s available at the David’s Bridal locations and her latest collection – the Vera Wang White collection is so her – vestal white with flounces and tulle.

This white collection should be available in stores in a few days’ time. As Vera explains, every bride should look and feel her best on her wedding day and she feels that every wedding gown she designs is a mark of respect to women. Pictures of the first few gowns can be found on the ‘net and from their prices, it’s obvious that most are within everyone’s reach.

The best part about the collection is that it is so affordable. The collection will feature wedding dresses, flowers and of course sparkling rings. The Wang and Zale Corp have finalized the deal which will launch a diamond collection that promises to be unique. The announcement will probably be made at the end of this month.

Wedding Rings And Wedding Dress Ready, Says Jennifer Hudson

Friday, February 4th, 2011

The wedding rings have been designed by Neil Lane and the white wedding dress she has designed herself. Well, it looks like everything is ready for Jennifer Hudson’s wedding and it looks like the American Idol and the Dream Girls star has been doing a lot of planning for it.

Jennifer Hudson and David Otunga have been engaged for a while now and they have a 17-month old baby boy they call Punk. Jennifer was talking to newsmen at the GEM Awards show where she revealed that everything was ready for her huge white wedding. Yes, she said, it was hard planning the wedding and there are times when she wonders whether a huge do is what they want – but she seems to have everything in place.

Both father and son will be wearing a tux and the bride and groom will wear Neil Lane wedding rings. As Jennifer says, David is just the perfect man for her and for those who had doubts about the VH1 reality actor and the singing star, it looks like all’s well that ends well.

Where’s Sarah Harding’s Engagement Ring?

Thursday, February 3rd, 2011

When they got engaged, they thought that a royal look alike ring would be a great idea. However, maybe Sarah finds it a bit too ostentatious to wear on an everyday basis so she has been seen without her stunner of an engagement ring. Instead, she wears a skull ring on her ring finger. Maybe there are those who feel that something like that is more suited to her.

At the London Staying Alive Foundation dinner, Sarah was spotted wearing a gold skull ring and she had on a spiffy dress so maybe the slightly old world sapphire and diamond engagement ring didn’t go with the dress and that is why she changed rings. The Girls Aloud singer got engaged to her DJ fiancé a month ago. They had dated earlier and split but have been together for the past six months.

Like they both said, they want an old fashioned wedding – bridal dress, top and tails and all and maybe the old fashioned ring went with that a whole lot better. However, that doesn’t stop Sarah from changing rings if she wants to match them with her outfit. Could she be setting a trend here?

Sherri Shepherd And Her Engagement Ring Bling

Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011

The American comedienne and host of The Newlywed Show, Sherri Shepherd flaunted a huge bit of bling on the daytime show where she is also a co-host – The View. It was their first live show of the year and there she was with a huge big diamond ring on her finger. She’s engaged to Lamar Sally, the TV writer from Los Angeles.

The engagement ring has a diamond at the centre with a princess cut and costs upward of £50,000. It looks like the princess cut is getting quite popular these days. This one is around three carats and it is set in a platinum band with diamonds on it.

So how did he propose? Well, he asked Sherri’s son’s permission first, then he got down on one knee and asked her. The actress told all the viewers of the ABC show all about it and how she thought her 6 foot 6 inches man looked quite sweet doing the proposing. The couple plan to tie the knot in August.

Where Is Julia Keys’ Wedding Ring?

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011

Last week was probably the hardest week that Julia Keys had to go through after her husband had to go face that sexist scandal and had to resign. Richard Keys stepped down from his job at Sky Sports which paid him £500,000 annually. All through, his wife stood by him loyally speaking out for him to reporters and to everyone.

However, the inside news is that Richard was arrogant and had been very rude to a few of the women employees. He had to step down in the wake of allegations that he really had overstepped he line. He and Andy Gray lost their jobs and insiders say it is the best thing to have happened at Sky Sports. He has been referred to as a master manipulator and that he had created a culture that was macho and crude.

51 year old Julia Keys served tea to newspapermen on her lawns and her wedding ring was very much in evidence then. She tried to dismiss what happened as just a guy thing and childish shenanigans. However, she did make a statement that things would depend on which way the verdict went. Well, Richard’s lost his job and the wedding ring on Julia’s finger is missing so maybe she did thing about what she was going to do now after all those revelations.
