The Twilight couple get married on screen but does reel life spill into real life as well? It does very often and maybe this time too with Robert Pattinson. He wears a wedding ring on the set but off the set, Robert has been caught doodling – no not cartoony stuff but wedding ring designs. Of course, Robert is known to have a kinky sense of humour and maybe Kristen doesn’t have any. So it could just be a huge joke on his part – letting people catch him with wedding ring designs. But then again, maybe not.

The final two-part movie of the Twilight series is being shot and like all good directors, this one too thought it would be better if the wedding, honeymoon and sex scenes in Brazil were shot first and out of the way. Why so? Because all too often stars who are in relationships break up during a movie so the intimate scenes could then be a bit stiff and would require many more days of shooting. Much better get it out of the way early in the day when the love is still in the air.

However, the couple might just surprise everyone and get married and maybe for once, Robert is very serious. Considering the two are almost like royalty, will their wedding be timed to be around the same time as the Royal wedding?

It looks like some things will never change. It all began in 1923 when the Queen Mother used Welsh gold for her wedding rings and since then, most Royal weddings have had rings made out of the same Welsh gold nugget. The gold comes from North Wales from the Clogau St David’s mine at Bontddu and through the years, with so many weddings, there is hardly anything left of the original nugget, probably just about a gram. However, in 1981, the Royals were gifted with more Welsh gold for future Royal weddings. The mine dates back to Roman times but it was only in the 19th century that what was thought to be a copper mine yielded gold. However, the mine had to be shut down after all the gold seems to have been extracted. It was in the let 80s that the mine was reopened and a small amount found and with this, there was an exquisite range of jewellery that was designed – using ancient Welsh symbols as inspiration.

Prince William and Kate’s wedding is sure to inspire a lot of attention, even globally. Already there is talk of huge security arrangements being out in place and of something like his parents’ wedding coming alive again. Can they recreate the same magic of that fairytale wedding?

Apparently Jessica was very surprised when Eric proposed to her. The singer and her new footballer fiancé are reported to be planning a December wedding and one wonders if it could be because she wants to be married again before Nick. The Victorian Diamond Traders Store at Melbourne’s Highpoint Shopping Centre saw a diamond heist where two diamond rings were stolen. A man had come into the store four times looking for rings. The last time he walked in, he asked the sales person to show him two diamond rings – a gold one with a 2-carat diamond and a silver one with a 0.7 carat diamond. When the sales person showed them to him, he took them and ran out of the shop. The two female sales people were too shocked to do anything.

The store had a CCTV camera so with the pictures on it, the store owner hopes that the police can catch the thief. The police came in immediately and are trying to track down the man, who, according to descriptions was in his thirties and a Caucasian.

What flashed a lot at Las Vegas at the TAO party was the incredible diamond engagement ring that Karina Smirnoff had on. Karina is the leading lady of the US TV show ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and rumour has it that she is engaged to Brad Penny, the sports celebrity.

The burglar broke into their home and because he was being chased by the police, threw it under a hedge close by as he ran. That was four months ago and when the burglar, an unemployed man confessed to having stolen it, he also told the police about what he had done. Now that was a bit of a dampener to a holiday that was supposed to be all about the sea, sand and the sun.

Now, the two seem finally married after flaunting their matching gold wedding rings encrusted with diamonds. They were both at the MTV awards show in Spain and their wedding bands sparkled. Expensive, showy and some very serious bling seemed to be what everyone was thinking as they walked down that red carpet.
