Cartier Diamond Ring Stolen

Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

There are any number of thieves who set their sights on a Cartier ring but to steal it right from a Cartier store requires some gumption. Well, that’s exactly what happened in Rome. In the Cartier jewellery store that is situated on Via Condotti, there’s been a theft of the most expensive diamond ring that the store had.

Here’s how it happened. No, the thieves were not armed – just well dressed men. There were two of them and they walked in and asked to be shown the diamond ring that cost the most in the store. No arms, no hold up so how on earth could anyone have suspected them? When the salespeople took it out and showed it to them, they just walked out, got into a car that was at the door, waiting, and drove off, leaving everyone in the store stunned. From a very objective point of view, it was done with a great deal of panache!

The two men looked like foreigners according to the news report and they have been described to be well dressed and in their forties. The police in Rome are on the lookout for them. Yes, the store did have in-house vigilance cameras that were working so they have the men’s pictures on film. Hopefully, it shouldn’t be too difficult to catch them before they flee the country.

Crystal Bowersox And Green Wedding Rings

Sunday, October 17th, 2010

Crystal Bowersox, the runner up in last season’s American Idol has always made it plain that she loves going the environment-friendly route in life. So it’s no surprise that she added some green touches to her wedding too, which took place last week. The weekend wedding was a beautiful ceremony which, though elaborate, was organised keeping in mind that environmental friendly touches were necessary.

First off, when it came to her wedding dress, she chose to wear a hemp and cotton creation which was sewn over with macramé work and seashells. We hear it looked beautiful and earthy. Then came the wedding rings where they chose not to have any diamonds on them because she doesn’t approve of the way the diamond trade is run. She probably hasn’t heard of conflict free diamonds but it is her choice, after all.

The wedding rings have a few symbols on them There is the infinity 8 which stands for forever, the masonry symbol, the ‘om’ symbol in Sanskrit and a special symbol to denote ‘3’. The 3 stands for her, Brian and her one-year old son by her former boyfriend who she broke up with because their relationship could not stand the strain of the America Idol events and the crazy schedules that followed.

Canadian Lady Gets Back Lost Diamond Wedding Rings

Saturday, October 16th, 2010

It just puts your faith back in human nature, it does. A month ago, a lady was shopping at a superstore and she lost her wedding rings. One of them had been made to match the other as a tenth wedding anniversary present. The wedding rings were made of white gold and they were made of slender diamond bands. To her, they were priceless, even more than what they were worth because of their sentimental value.

She was so distraught that she tried everything – the news, the papers, the Internet – to appeal to anyone who might have found it, but to no avail. Then a lady found the wedding rings in the parking lot of that store and turned them in to the police. The police posted the news up on their site and asked the owner to come and collect the rings.

She can’t quite believe that anyone could be so nice as to return those rings and according to the police, she was so grateful and so touched. She vows to make the wedding rings smaller to fit her finger better so they don’t slip off again. What a wonderful way for it to end – of her being reunited with her rings.

Heirloom Diamond Ring Goes Back To Owner

Tuesday, October 12th, 2010

Who would have ever thought it? An heirloom diamond that had been given to a girl when the son of the house got engaged has come back – and by post at that – to the lady it belonged to. It’s a long story but it’s a great touch to this diamond ring with its long history.

A parcel arrived from New York to an office in Australia and all it had was a name with an initial – there was no one like that in the office. However, one of the employees there realised that the ring that was in it – there was no note – must be of sentimental value to someone, especially as it looked like an heirloom ring. So she set about tracking down anyone in that town with the surname. She found the person soon enough – who was thrilled to be reunited with her ring.

The story goes that the diamond ring was the lady’s mother’s engagement ring, way back in the 1930s. Then, when her son got engaged to a Mexican-American girl, he gave her the ring. However, the agreement was that if the marriage did not work out, the ring would be returned to her. She used to live where the office was so though she moved, the ring came to the old address and that was how it came to be delivered at the office. What a wonderful surprise for the owner of the ring when this young employee took the trouble to find her and give the ring to her.

Lost Wedding Ring In Harrow

Friday, October 8th, 2010

A lady who lives in Capthorne Avenue found a wedding ring that someone had lost on Berriton Road and she’s trying her best to find out who the ring belongs to. Margaret Lunnon found the ring when she was out walking and she has made it a mission to reunite the wedding ring with the owner. She found it on the 17th of September but she and her husband were leaving for a holiday so she’s back and looking.

The ring is made of white gold and it has a stone missing. Inside the ring is an engraving that is unusual and unique. Margaret went to the Observer and told them about it as soon as she found the ring, hoping that someone would read the paper and realise whose ring it was. She hasn’t been to the police as yet because she is hopeful that the person would get to know about the ring being found through the newspaper.

Why is she going out of her way to find the owner? She says that she knows how terrible she would feel if she lost her ring and there’s someone out there who is feeling as bad so she would like to do her bit in easing that person’s loss. She hopes that the wedding ring will find its owner soon.
