Then you need to decide what stone to use – a diamond is always best, but even here, the choice is huge when it comes to shape, cut and weight. The setting for the diamond is vital and needs to be strong so the diamond won’t easily slip out of it. The setting and the ring have to be soldered well together so it seems seamless. Then, it’s time to set the stone. Once that is done, you need to polish the engagement ring so it looks its dazzling best.
Well, most men as we said, prefer to take the easy way and go look at a reputed diamond store to choose the engagement ring. The choice is huge, the finish perfect and you know you can go back to them if there is a problem. However, full marks to the DIY man for wanting this to be a personal gift from the heart.
