Do Fake Wedding Rings Help With Unwanted Attentions?
Many women tend to feel that a wedding ring on the finger is a deterrent for men when they want to flirt aggressively. Is this really true? This belief has led many young women to wear a wedding ring to protect themselves from aggressive men who cannot take No for an answer.
There’s a ring manufacturer in Seattle USA who seems to be capitalising on this idea and selling fake wedding rings for a song. According to her, there are so many women that are hit on and this seems to be a great way to keep those horrible men at bay. Ever since she opened shop – the company is called Ms Taken – she says that she has sold so many wedding rings that are fake. The strange thing is, more men than women seem to be buying it - for their girlfriends no doubt!
The company even advertises on YouTube and while these rings are no substitute for the real thing, it looks like there is some use for the products they sell. One wonders however, if the men are so concerned, why don’t they just marry the woman in question with a real wedding ring? And does a fake wedding ring really keep away the men who are aggressive and pester a woman no matter what? It might just keep away the ones who could be seriously interested in the woman!
