Engagement Ring Almost Lost In The Sand

Friday, July 9th, 2010

When Kyle proposed to US country singer Kellie Pickler, she was so overwhelmed that he thought she had dropped her ring. He proposed on the beach so obviously it would have fallen in the sand and that would mean the risk of losing it. So there he was, scrambling around looking for it when all the time it was on her lap. So he retrieved it and then slipped it on to her finger before it fell down again.
The point is, the engagement ring was the last thing on her mind. According to her, it could have been a crackerjack ring and it wouldn’t have mattered. She was just so excited that he had proposed and apparently they both laughed and cried together.
Everyone else wanted to have a look at the sparkler that was on her finger when she had an interview later but she made it very clear that it was not the ring but the love they shared that was her focus. The American Idol star has come a long way in her career but she seems to have her priorities absolutely right.

Wedding Ring Found In Edinburgh Six Months Later

Thursday, July 8th, 2010

Six months ago, a woman lost her wedding ring as she and her husband were playing in the snow, throwing snowballs at each other. They searched all over and even got help from people around but there was no way they could find the ring in all that snow. They even got people with metal detectors in but to no avail. Minpreet and Arjan went back to Holland where they lived, despondent.
Then, six months later, fate took a hand in the search and a rugby player tackled the ball and fell right near where the ring glistened up at him. So he took it and tried every which way to find out who it belonged to. He put up the piece of news on the Internet and waited but there was no reply. Then fate stepped in again and he got a reply from one of the people with the metal detectors who had looked for the wedding ring.
From there, they tracked Minpreet down and soon she was reunited with her ring and so thrilled to have it back. So many co-incidences played their part. If Matthew the restaurant owner hadn’t been playing rugby and fallen face down, who knows how long the ring might have been there? Or who could have picked it up?

Diamond Ring With Large Pear Shaped Diamond Sold For ÂŁ100,000

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

Fellows & Sons auctioned a rare ring recently for all of £100,000. The ring had a pear-shaped diamond which weighed 12 carats and the buyers just kept pushing up the price till it reached this amount when the buyer’s premium was added on. This took place at their Birmingham auction.
So how did such a rare ring come up in an auction? The owner of the diamond ring says he inherited it from his grandmother. He took the ring for a valuation to the AnchorCert Independent Diamond and Gemstone Laboratory and he said he wanted an independent Safeguard valuation. That was when he realised that what he was holding was worth so much.
The ring, as we said, has a pear-shaped diamond and this is flanked on either side by a pair of 50-point diamonds. It was when he realised that the diamond was so valuable that he decided to sell it and that is how it came to be auctioned.

Wedding Ring In Cupcake Box

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

There he was as usual, packing away those many cupcakes and other orders on Hyson Green at the Sweet Success Bakery and he says when he’s working, he’s like a whirling dervish. Well, anyway, he went off home and it was only later when he and his wife were walking their dog that his wife noticed that the ring wasn’t on his finger. So he looked around, looked in his car, his home and then of course, the warehouse where he is the supervisor. That’s when he got a start and knew that it must have fallen off into one of the packages.

Now how on earth were they to find out which package it had got into? So everyone at Sweet Success lent a hand to try and find the missing wedding ring. They knew that it had to have fallen into one of the sixty boxes that were packed the previous day so all they had to do was to trace those boxes. Those boxes had gone to thirty customers all over the country. So there were a lot of frantic phone calls and the wedding ring was finally found in a box of cupcakes and sponge slabs in Birmingham.

So it’s back on his finger with a promise to his wife of four years that it won’t happen again. The thing is, he has lost a lot of weight recently so the ring was a bit loose and could have just slipped off. The great thing is, most of their customers who had been contacted called them back to find out if the wedding ring had been found.

Torchwood Star’s Ring Not A Wedding Ring But An Eternity Ring

Monday, July 5th, 2010

Eve Myles is all set to move to America for the next six or seven months to shoot Torchwood, the American version. The science fiction series has been a great hit in the US and she’ll have to spend a few months there to complete the series. Before that, she has a tight schedule which involves a remake of The Fabulous Baker Boys by the BBC Wales TV and a film shoot in Bulgaria.

For Eve, nothing compares with the joy that her seven month baby Matilda has brought her. Ever since she has been born, Eve says she wakes up smiling and she feels she is the best thing that has happened to her. Apparently she’s a really sweet baby, always cheerful and she sleeps right through the night. It looks like Eve is savouring every moment with her little baby who she says has eyes just like her father.

Eve has been with actor Bradley Freegard for a long time and she wears an eternity ring he gave her on her thirtieth birthday. She confirms that it is not a wedding ring though they will think of getting married after their busy spell is done. Brad, Matilda and their dog Honey will go along with Eve to America when Torchwood is being shot.

Avatar Star Wears Engagement Ring

Sunday, July 4th, 2010

Zoe Saldanha and her boyfriend have finally decided to get married and the news is that the Avatar star is indeed engaged to Keith Britton who she has been dating for the past ten years. That’s a long time but the two have been close and together. Ask anyone who knows them and they will tell you that the gorgeous star and her boyfriend are a fantastic couple.

Keith Britton heads My Fashion Database, his own company and he is also an actor. However, as far as Zoe is concerned, she is very private ands all these years, even though they have been so close, she’s never publicly introduced him as anyone special. Maybe she’s smart. In an industry where everything one says is so open to speculation, the less said the better.

Maybe she also wants the media to pay attention to her as an actress and not probe into her personal life. It’s obviously very important to her because she keeps her personal details to herself. She would much rather discuss her films and there’s a new one due for release soon.

Engagement Ring Back On Finger After 57 Years

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

In a town in North Carolina, USA, there’s a couple who celebrated their 63rd anniversary with an engagement ring that had been lost 57 years ago back on her finger. For Vonnie Wood, it was like a dream come true. That diamond engagement ring was special because of the sentimental value it held.

It happened a long time ago and she lost her diamond engagement ring when she and her husband were planting roses in their garden. She suddenly saw her engagement ring was missing and they looked high and low for it but couldn’t find it. They built houses – that was their business so they built a house, lived there for a while and then moved. This meant that they moved often. Of course her husband bought her another diamond ring, much bigger this time. But they and their three daughters knew that Vonnie missed her old ring.

Then, years later, they decided to visit the old church near their old home and they drove past their home after that. They wished the lady who had bought it from them and then drove on but suddenly, the lady remembered that she had found a ring when they had dug up a rose bush. So she called them and asked and the rest is the wonder of wearing an engagement ring that meant so much. For Vonnie, it was like a second honeymoon.

Was That A Wedding Ring Or Was It Just A Bit Of Fun?

Friday, July 2nd, 2010

She came out of Frank Lampard’s house, her smile even wider than usual and it looked like she was flaunting that huge ring on her left hand. So the obvious question was: Are they already married? It would seem to be the trend today with so many getting married secretly and then letting on to the world at large after a while. After Christine Bleakley came out, he followed and they got into the car and drove off, not giving the press a chance to even ask whether it was true or not.

The thing is, other than that, there really could have been no other reason for that smile, considering that she had flown out to South Africa to cheer the team on and had to fly back with the team that very day after they crashed out of the World Cup.

The point is, she was wearing that very same ring at the World Cup game and the cameras picked it up. The only thing is, it was on her right hand, not her left. So we’re left wondering: Are they really married and was she wearing it on the wrong hand at such a public event so no one would guess or are they not married and is it an old ring that she just switched hands to have a bit of fun with the press? The thirty-one year old TV presenter and the thirty-two year old footballer are probably the only ones in the know. A spokesman for the couple denied the reports that they could be married.

Have Russell Brand And Kate Perry Exchanged Wedding Rings?

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Have they already got married? If so, how did they manage it without the media even getting a whiff of it? Well, all we have to go on is not rumours but little slips that both of them have been making and everyone is left wondering if it’s true and if is it, how come they organized it so it could remain so hush-hush?

The first time it happened was in the Graham Norton Show and she talked about why she had married him, then quickly tried to correct it by saying that that would be why she was marring him. The reason why, she feels, is because life with him would never be dull. Now that’s a good reason to be getting married – or maybe in this case to have already gotten married. So was it just a slip of the tongue or had the deed already been done?

One slip can be overlooked but two? And from the other half of the couple? The next one came from Russell Brand in an interview with OK magazine and he expressed surprise that people could think he would have cold feet about marrying his wife. His wife? Already? He must have realised the reaction those words brought on because he quickly tried to stem the damage and said that the reason he called her his wife is that he thinks of her as that already. Thinks, or knows? It looks like the two of then are so excited about getting married, they just cannot contain themselves. Good for them!
