Couple wins 1.6 Carat Diamond Ring In Hunt
As the first prize in a scavenger hunt, a diamond company called Rasmussen Diamonds in the US were giving away a huge diamond ring. Stacy and Adam, a young couple heard about it from her sister and decided to enter it on an impulse because they were familiar with the area and they rode their bikes around where the hunt was on every day. So they donned their yellow ‘hunt’ T-shirts and off they went.
The way the hunt was run, the actual diamond ring was not hidden anywhere because that would have left it open to getting stolen. Instead, the contestants were sent clues on their cell phones and they had to follow each clue to lead them to the next one. And imagine this couple’s surprise when their cell phone rang and they were told that they had won.
So are they going to get engaged right away? Many of the participants were hoping that the engagement would take place right there at the hunt but Adam wants it to be later and in a more private setting. They’re both thrilled of course that they won this ring and they still can’t get over the excitement. The sponsors of the hunt are very thrilled too at the response that this event generated and they hope to organise another one soon so a lot more people can participate. A cell-phone hunt like this one to keep up with the modern age.
