In Woodstock Illinois, USA, a man who was employed to replace an air-conditioning duct saw something glittering and he was surprised to find that it was a valuable diamond ring. According to him, they find many things when they clean out the filters in the air-conditioning duct though normally it happens to be items like bills, coins, doggie bones and toys. This time however, it was a diamond ring and he says he has never found anything so expensive.
The diamond ring is valued at £1000 and it belongs to the owner’s daughter. She lost it six years ago and she is overjoyed to have got it back again. It isn’t everyday you find a diamond ring lost so long ago and it isn’t everyone who is so honest as to return a diamond ring that is so expensive.

According to jewellery stores all over the world, there are women buying engagement rings for men – or mengagement rings as they are called when they ask men to marry them. So do they go down on one knee too in the traditional way when they propose? It doesn’t seem so. What they do seem to be doing is that when they decide to get engaged, they pick up a ring for the man as well. Maybe soon there will be an unwritten code as to how much that ring should cost, much like the woman’s engagement ring.
It looks like this trend towards equality might be a good thing. With more and more women earning, and earning well, maybe it’s time the men got something out of it too. Then even if the engagement did break, there would be no hard feelings about fighting over the engagement ring. If the man’s is an expensive one too, maybe both get to keep their respective rings and move on and both get something expensive as a keepsake.

A widow in San Jose, USA thought that she had lost her 25th anniversary ring and she was devastated to have misplaced the wonderful diamond ring that her late husband had got her. She thought she had dropped it while out shopping and she looked all over in the mall and the restaurant that she went to after that with no luck. So she even put an ad in the local newspapers.
What she had forgotten was that she had removed the ring and put it into her bag. One day, when the 76 year old lady was on her way home, she saw something shining in her bag – and there it was. She feels stupid about it but she’s so glad that she found the ring which is of great sentimental value to her. She lost her husband in March. Now, she’s sent it off to the jeweller’s to be resized so it doesn’t slip off her finger again.

Are Russell Brand and Katy Perry planning a very small and private party for their wedding? Well that’s what they have been telling people, that they want it to be a private affair with just close friends and family and they want it to be a serious affair because it will be celebrating their love.
Now this from two people who love to party seems strange but they have assured everyone that they will also have a big bash where everybody can have fun besides this intimate party. According to Katy, the small private party was to make sure that their loved ones from both sides would integrate because she feels their love is important to them and this is what they want.

Apparently, if sources are to be believed, the Legally Blonde actress Reese Witherspoon has been window shopping for diamond rings. So maybe an engagement and even a wedding are in the offing. Jim Roth and she are said to be very passionate about each other and maybe Reese is just looking at those rings waiting for Jim to ask her. He’s a Hollywood agent and she’s such a big star so obviously any glance towards a ring on a jeweller’s window is enough to get the gossip mills turning.
If friends of Reese are to be believed, it’s quite likely that she will have a big part to play in the choosing of the ring because she just loves to be on top of everything and in this case, this ring is what she will have to wear so she’s bound to want to make sure it is something she likes.

The news that Katie Price was seen around town with no wedding ring last week doesn’t seem to bother Alex Reid too much. Of course, that bare finger meant that there were rumours galore about whether or not the marriage was running into trouble. The fact that she had on a tee-shirt with a woman crying on it added fuel to the fire.
Alex Reid had a very practical explanation. He said that Katie was going for a shoot and that was why she had taken off her wedding ring. Apparently he takes off his wedding ring too when he gets into training. He reiterated that their marriage was still as strong as ever – wedding ring or no wedding ring.
