A 2.6-Carat Diamond Ring Donation
In a charity drive in Pennsylvania, USA, there was one very generous donation – a diamond ring with a 2.6 carat diamond. There were many costume jewellery pieces that had been donated and a retired jeweller who was sorting through them was suddenly taken aback when he realized he was holding a diamond ring in his hand.
Well, after that, a certified gemmologist was asked to help and he said it was a European cut diamond which he valued at nearly £12,000! The ring could have come from anywhere as the donations from thousands of people were collected and brought to a centralised location. The charity is very grateful to the unknown donor.
