Bury The Past With A Wedding Ring Coffin

Monday, May 31st, 2010

That’s right – wedding ring coffins have made an appearance and it’s a great way to say goodbye to the past. So many people just don’t have a clue what to do with their wedding rings after splitsville and now, here comes a great way to give the past a decent burial. A burial with dignity and with that lid of the coffin closing, hopefully all the anger and bitterness will be buried forever too. So symbolic and so practical.

Like everything else today, these have to be fashionable too so you have coffins with personalized messages that are engraved on it and coffins that are lined in velvet, satin, whatever. Are you supposed to really bury it? You can, if you’re angry enough but in most cases. It might be a good thing to go through the ritual of putting the ring in and then hiding it in a corner of your cupboard or in the attic.

Owner Of Five Wedding Rings Finds Missing One

Sunday, May 30th, 2010

In Minnesota, USA, there’s a woman who loves wedding rings so much that she goes looking for them in pawn shops and she owned five of them. Then one day, one went missing and she had this strange feeling that it had to be someone she knew who pinched it from her home. So she went around looking around the pawn shops in the area to see if she could find it.

Five months after she lost the ring, she found it – in a pawn shop – and the strange thing was, it was the same shop where her husband had bought the ring for her from. She says she wouldn’t mind paying the pawn shop to have it back but the police now have the ring as they are looking through the surveillance tapes to try and find the thief. Whichever way it goes, the woman knows that she has got the ring back now.

So we wonder just how soon the wedding will be in order to upstage the ex’s wedding plans.

We wonder if the wedding will be a reunion of sorts for the cast of the series.

Perfect Pitcher Gets Fabulous Diamond Ring

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

Dallas Braden of the Athletics baseball team in the USA was presented with a ring that literally blazed with diamonds. His team gave it to him and it had 51 diamonds in the middle – that was because his number is 51 and it had 37 diamonds circling them – that was for the outs he had this season. Now a diamond ring like that must be everyone’s dream.

Apparently the team also presented his grandmother with a diamond pendant and it was she who started off the game with the first pitch. For someone to have 19 perfect games in a row is never easy – in fact, people might say it was almost impossible but Dallas did it and maybe that’s why the team felt he was well worth the diamond ring!

Are the New Engagement Rings Tongue Rings?

Friday, May 21st, 2010

The times they really are a-changing, what with people getting engaged with tongue rings of all things! Not just ordinary tongue rings but diamond encrusted ones if jewellers’ reports are anything to go by. So are the traditional finger engagement rings becoming a thing of the past? Will we now see the young ones getting engaged with lip rings, belly button rings and nipple rings? It might just be a trend that could catch on.

The thing is, will it mean the end of the traditional engagement ring? We don’t think so. Whatever the trend might be with the young, it’s going to be a long time before the diamond engagement ring as we know it fades away. The way we see it, as the young ones grow older, they will probably replace it with the traditional ring.
