Polishing Wedding Rings
A few years down the road, considering that most couples wear their rings all the time, the wedding ring does lose a bit of its lustre. It doesn’t matter to a lot of people – in fact they prefer the look that says the wedding ring has been worn for a while. However, for the ones who like their wedding rings to look new and in mint condition, there are a few things you could do to keep them looking that way.
Wedding Rings: The Professional Touch
You could clean it at home to get a professionally cleaned look or you could give it to the jeweller to do the needful. You’ll find that there are polishing cloths available in the market to clean and polish your wedding rings. Make sure to buy the ones that are goldsmith grade. All it takes is a five-minute polishing session now and again to keep them looking great. Do remember that platinum, titanium and tungsten carbide rings do not scratch as much as gold. So if you are particular about scratch-free rings, these are the metals to choose. However, gold has a certain charm and is the popular metal of choice. The great thing is, wedding rings don’t need constant attention. You can also soak them in a soap solution for a few minutes and then rinse to get any grease or dirt off.
