Flushing Wedding Rings Away
It looks like the waste management services in the UK have reason to grumble as many people tend to flush their wedding rings and their dentures down the toilet. So the Consumer Council for Water have requested people to be a bit more careful about their belongings before they flush.
A lot of it is by accident – like wedding rings and dentures but there’s a whole lot more that’s being flushed when the rubbish should really be put into the garbage. It just means so much more cleaning up to do when things like credit cards, nappies and things are flushed down, causing blockages and an unnecessary waste of taxpayers’ money. Just a little more care is all they are asking!
