There seems to be a huge young move towards wedding rings that are different from the classic gold band. More and more youngsters are looking at rings that are more contemporary in the choice of materials and designs. They also want something that is more in keeping with their sense of dressing and their lifestyle. Sometimes of course, the wedding rings they choose are done to shock but what they probably are trying to tell the world is that it is their wedding and they set the rules even when it comes to wedding rings.

From gold, the more contemporary couples are straying farther to tungsten carbide and silver. If it has to be gold, it is different coloured gold like white gold or rose gold. More and more couples are experimenting with textures and patterns on the metal so it looks different and unique. With so many designs available online, it makes it that much easier to get the ring of your choice.

Some of the designs are like something out of a sci-fi movie. You’ll find binary code rings, connectivity rings, mood rings, decoder rings, nut and bolt rings, wooden rings, etc. You’ll find designs that are wild and whacky and maybe the older generation will think some of them crass and loud but it suits certain personalities so each to his own.
