Choosing Diamond Settings For Your Wedding Rings

So you’ve decided that you will have diamonds in your wedding rings. That’s a great idea and a break from the classic and traditional style wedding ring. Now that you have decided, the first thing you need to do is to choose the right diamonds. You need to make sure that they are of the highest quality – after all, it is a once in a lifetime investment. So look for the 4Cs and make sure they rate well on Cut, Clarity, Colour and Carat. Then, once you’ve made that decision, you need to choose the setting. Diamonds need to be set right to make sure that they are set firmly and in a setting that shows them off at their best.

Wedding Rings: Suggested Diamond Settings

For women’s rings, the diamonds could be set along the rims or the circumference of the wedding ring or the whole ring could be engraved with diamonds. Another very popular setting is the channel setting where the stones are placed in a channel in the metal of your choice. This could be a groove setting into which the diamonds are slid. This allows the diamonds to shine without any sharp edges. The bezel setting too is becoming popular. In this, the gold or any other metal encases the diamond. For men’s rings, the popular settings are one diamond embedded in the centre or diamonds that make up a square pattern in the front middle of the wedding ring.
