This is Kate’s first marriage – she was once with Pete Doherty and also has a daughter by Jefferson Hack. Kate has been in the public eye as a supermodel for years and Jamie is a rock star and guitarist for The Kills, a band comprising him and American Alison Mosshart, who plays the guitar and does the vocals. Rumour has it that Kate was working on a shoot on the island of Mustique in the West Indies Indies when Jamie, who had a little help from a friend in choosing the ring, flew out there to surprise her – and sources say she was stunned and happy.
