Nan-technology has entered the sphere of diamonds as well and researchers have discovered that nano-diamonds can be use in imaging the littlest details of a human single cell. This is of great import in cancer where targeted drugs can now be given for just the diseased cells, minimizing the unnecessary over use of drugs and all the ensuing side effects. Right now, microscopy has helped medical science to make vast strides in every kind of treatment and nano-diamonds are going to take this much further. So they are, in effect, super microscopes.
