Made-To-Order £500k Diamond Rings And Jewellery Stolen On Train
Train thieves struck on a Glasgow to London train and made off with a case containing a lot of jewellery. There were rings, bracelets and necklaces and they had all been made to order. The salesman had deposited the case on the luggage rack above him and he realised that the case was gone just before the train reached Motherwell.
Most of the jewellery that was stolen consisted of engagement and wedding rings and they were made of platinum, gold and palladium, all of them exquisitely designed. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time but the fourth time that salesmen carrying a large amount of jewellery have been singled out and targeted. So obviously it was someone who knew the salesman’s schedule. Now, there is an appeal for CCTV footage of the crime scene.
