Derwen Fairs See An Increase In Second Hand Diamond Rings Sale
With the rising prices of jewellery, it’s little wonder that antiques fairs that sell second hand jewellery are a hit. The Derwen fairs that were held in Wales at the end of last month are a case in point. They were held in Johnstown and Camarthen and the stall holders were pleased to see that many young couples made a beeline for the jewellery stalls where you could pick up jewellery like diamond rings for much less that the retail value.
There was a wide range of jewellery to choose from – engagement rings, trilogy rings, brooches, bracelets and pins. It included a selection of Victorian and Art Deco as well as antique looking jewellery. What’s more, the buyers have recourse to a free valuation service and are told a bit about the history of the piece of jewellery or the design. The fair also had a range of linen, porcelain and books for sale and Welsh pottery was one of the highlights.
