Did Jonathan Rhys Meyers Give Reena An Engagement Ring?
Was that an engagement ring on Reena Hammer’s finger? Long time girlfriend of Jonathan Rhys Meyers, she’s been around for him for a long time, especially so when he lost his mother a couple of years ago. She’s always been a source of support to him and this stunning girl was seen beside him – with what looked like an engagement ring – at the U2 concert at Croke Park, which is said to be their last concert.
Jonathan is known all over the world for his part in The Tudors and in the movie The Velvet Goldmine. He has also appeared in movies like Alexander and Mission Impossible II. Reena is a model and will hopefully bring in a bit of calm into the troubled actor’s life.

The ring was a plain gold band, it can be seen in photographs. Jonathan and Reena have often worn different rings at different times on their ring fingers. This is not the first, second, or third time we’ve been through the “are they engaged?” rumour mill with Jonathan because of rings. At this point fans seem to find the rumours exhausting and meaningless. Until there is a press release, i’m not buying it. A press release of an engagement would look really good for Jonathan right now, and since there has not been one I’m fairly sure this isn’t true.
This couple is on and off more often than Japanese shoes. Just a couple of weeks before this latest rumour, Jonathan was seen out with Katie Lamour, who traveled to LA and Paris with him last fall. He’s dated various other women throughout the history of their long on-again off-again relationship.
Reena is not a model. She’s an heiress to a spa/cosmetic fortune. As far as Reena being a supportive stable influence in Jonathan’s life, I have my doubts. He was never in trouble before he knew her. Since meeting her, he’s been arrested for common assault with her, been to rehab three times, and gotten into various scrapes with the law. Codependent, maybe, but I don’t think she makes him happy.
Couples that break up and return to each other over and over and over like this almost never make it in my experience.
But who knows?
