So now, he wants to give away the engagement ring he bought her and he’s doing it in a unique way – by organising a treasure hunt in Wellington, NZ with the clues on Twitter. What a great example of a game that’s been around for ages and new age technology coming together. Add the emotional appeal of a diamond engagement ring and a broken heart to that and it has all the elements to make it a big story.
The ring must cost around £2000 and if you aren’t in or around Wellington, you wouldn’t obviously be participating. However, with Twitter the way it is, we’re sure there will be many watching from around the world – virtually – and cheering the participants on.
