It started off as a one-off thing – a few women gave their men engagement rings as well. When it happened to be celebrities, the whole world knew, otherwise it was just the exception not the rule. However, it looks like that might soon change and male engagement rings might soon become the trend. Not just that, there are women who have started proposing to their men – and not just on leap year!
What a lot of women feel is that they would like the man to wear a ring to show that he was ‘spoken for’ too. With more and more women working, there’s more money and they can afford to buy their man an engagement ring. They feel that they would like to show the world their sign of possession too as the man has done all these many years.
Actually, many European men have worn engagement rings though it is becoming a trend in the UK and the USA only recently. Men too get something of value today – and they’re asking Why not? If equality means getting presents too, they aren’t complaining.
