Stolen Diamond Ring Back On Owner’s Finger
She went to undergo a medical test and hurriedly stuffed her jewellery into her bag before it. When she was through, she put on her jewellery only to find that her favourite yellow diamond ring which she wore in place of her wedding ring was missing. For Debbie Paquette of Milford it was devastating.
The diamond ring was a gift from her husband soon after they were married and though it was not given for any special occasion, she loved it and wore it on her ring finger instead of her wedding ring. When she realised that the ring had disappeared from her bag, she went and filed a police complaint, after having searched every inch of the way by retracing her footsteps.
The police looked at the hospital surveillance tapes and it was evident that the ring had fallen out of her bag while she was taking her jewellery out. The tapes then showed a man pick it up and quickly hide it in his bag. The police traced him because his wife was in the hospital and the lady got her ring back. To say she was delirious with joy would probably be an understatement.
