Diamond Rings, Earrings And Watch Returned By Taxi Driver
Who says honesty is dead? There’s ample proof that it’s very much alive as this incident about a taxi driver will tell you. In Atlanta, a woman from Naples, Florida who was spending the weekend there left her bag in a taxi which was driven by Walter Fernandez, all of sixty four.
For two whole days, she spent the time looking for her bag till finally it dawned on her that she had probably left it in the taxi. What was in that bag was worth a lot – thousands of dollars because there were three diamond rings, a Rolex watch and diamond stud earrings. Also in that bag was her passport.
The taxi driver brought the bag back to the hotel with all that it contained. He had a very simple answer as to why he had done that when there was so much valuable stuff in the bag. He said it wasn’t his so he was not going to take it. The lady in question was so happy and gave him a reward.
Now thats a feel good story I have heard in a long time, pity that there wasn’t more trust worthy people in the world like him. Bless is sole.
