Diamond Engagement Ring Lost After Losing Fiancé
It was a double blow. A lady in DC first lost the man she was engaged to in the September 2001 terrorist attacks and then she lost the engagement ring he had given her recently when she took her two year old son to the Smithsonian National Zoo.
Bianca Grimaldi’s fiancé slipped the ring on her finger just before he boarded the ill fated flight that crashed into the Pentagon. After that, she always wore the ring – first on her finger and then as a pendant around her neck. It must have slipped out when she was walking around the zoo with her son. She went back and looked along the paths that she walked along but there was no trace of the ring.
Bianca got married after her fiancé died but she has always worn that ring in his memory. So it was very sad for her to have lost that engagement ring, which was the one memento she had of him which she treasured. Sure, she still has pictures of him and of them together but that ring was special. This is why she is hoping she’ll find it and wishes that whoever has found it will return it to her.
