It’s no ordinary ring – it’s a five carat diamond engagement ring and it was probably the last thing on her mind. However, times are hard for Lisa Aviva Bleviss of New York and the business she was running as well as the relationship she was in both went through very troubled times.
Here is the sordid story. When Lisa’s fiancé left her, he also took her business for a ride. Lisa had a very successful men’s accessories business going for her and she had orders not just from leading stores in the US but from all over the world. Her fiancé stole all her samples and the production fabrics when he left, leaving Lisa with a broken business. There was no other way than to cancel her orders and she had creditors drumming on her doors for payment for the material.
Declaring bankruptcy seemed to be the only way out and that is not what she wanted.
