That’s right. Of all her diamonds, Demi Moore’s favourite is by far, the one on her diamond engagement ring. She should know – she just loves diamonds. There might be a sixteen year age gap between her and Ashton Kutcher but they are a very much in love couple.
The occasion was the premier of her film in UK – Flawless. The movie is about a woman who tries to rob the diamond company where she is employed. Directed by Michaels Radford, it is set in the 60s London and it also has Michael Caine – someone who Demi Moore loves working with and admires.
Ashton Kutcher was with her at the premiere which took place at the Odeon. They really are a very close couple indeed.

It was all very romantic. It was a moonlit night and near Hopeville Pond, Josh Carpenter asked his girlfriend Jessica to marry him – unfortunately, as he knelt down and opened the ring box, the engagement ring and wedding ring inside tumbled out. They saw the diamond engagement ring shining in the moonlight, picked it up and drove off. Suddenly, they wondered if the wedding ring was still inside the box and realised it wasn’t. They hurried back to the place where they had dropped it and looked around with a torch but couldn’t find it.
Then a stranger found it – and returned it to them. He saw them searching and, being a history buff, he went off and got his metal detector to look for the ring. Even when they went home, he continued looking till he found it. Well, he found that wedding ring for them and they plan to ask him to carry their infant son who will be the ring bearer for their wedding two years from now. Some things, they feel, are just meant to be – and not only did they find the ring which they could ill afford to lose, they got to know a really sweet man.

Hugh Jackman officially became the world’s sexiest man according to People Magazine. Last year’s sexiest hunk was Matt Damon. This is really great for the Australian star who celebrated his 40th birthday last month.
Hugh is a man of many parts. Besides being great eye candy, he is also a singer and a dancer and of course an actor. He’s made a name for himself in the theatre in musicals and now of course, he’s made a name for himself in Hollywood too as an actor who can fit easily into any role.
What is most intriguing however is the fact that Hugh Jackman also designed the engagement ring for his wife – they’ve been happily married for 12 years now and have two children. He says they are the best things to have happened to him.

Reese Witherspoon is wearing a diamond ring all right – and on the right finger. However, is it a diamond engagement ring? That’s the question that everyone would like an answer to. Everyone has been interested in Reese Witherspoon’s love life every since her long-standing marriage to Ryan Philippe came apart.
Reese is not ready to settle down so soon – or so she says. She still hasn’t come to terms with the fact that her seven year marriage is over. Her name has been linked to a few handsome Hollywood hunks but Jake Gyllenhaal is the man of the moment and it looks like it is serious. The only hitch though is that she isn’t in a hurry to settle down. Is she engaged? She could well be but marriage does not seem imminent as far as she is concerned.

Next month, a 3-stone diamond engagement ring belonging to Deborah Kerr will be auctioned at Bonhams in London. It was given to the late famous star over six decades ago by her first husband when he asked her to marry him.
The actress passed away last year and she had been suffering from Parkinson’s. She was feted for her parts in the movies An Affair To Remember and The King and I. She acted in them opposite Cary Grant and Yul Bryner. She also acted in a number of other roles, including ones where she had to dance.
The jewellery that is going to be auctioned includes this diamond engagement ring which they hope will fetch £25,000 and a snake-like gold chain.

When you have parents like the legendary Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne, and you are pretty well known too, everything you do is eagerly lapped up by a celebrity-hungry audience. So when Kelly Osbourne was spotted wearing a diamond engagement ring on her finger, it was only natural that the paparazzi were after her to tell them whether she was engaged or not.
Kelly has been with Luke Worrell for a while now and it was generally assumed that the two would be making an announcement soon. So when she stated that she felt that she wasn’t old enough to settle down, that ring raised a lot of questions. Was she? Wasn’t she?
The question seems to have been answered now – not by a spokesman or by Kelly herself but through an announcement in Facebook. Her profile was changed to ‘Engaged’ and obviously that was enough for everyone who knew her to rush to post up their congratulatory messages.

The amazingly beautiful isles of the Maldives are a great place to have a diamond engagement ring slipped on to your finger. Jennifer Ellison is one of those lucky ones who could show off her sparkling new diamond in a setting that is out of this world.
25-year old Jennifer and 29-year old Robbie Tickle have been together for around seven months now and it was under the blue skies of the Maldives, surrounded by the crystal clear turquoise-blue seas that he proposed. Jennifer was so stunned – she hadn’t expected this and by all accounts she is ecstatically happy. Sources say she was crying for joy and said Yes at once.
Jennifer is best known for her role in the British serial Brookside, her role in the Phantom of the Opera and as being the former girlfriend of Stephen Gerrard, the Liverpool footballer while Rob has been in the news for all the wrong reasons like being caught and jailed for the illegal possession of cocaine. He’s also supposed to be a boxer.

The story is a true story that took place in Monrovia a few days ago. Here’s what happened. The woman was 31 and she wanted a wedding ring – actually she wanted more than one. So she connived to get two men to marry her. Imagine dragging not one but two men to the altar.
The thing is, after she was married to both, she tried running away. She had done the deed very well indeed, marrying them separately – that must have taken some doing. Then, she jilted one of them. Now he wasn’t having any of this and he dragged her to court. Will the magisterial court acquit her? It could well set a precedent for many young women who want to swindle a man or two.

In North Queensland in Australia, an 84 year old lady was admitted with an infected foot. She was scheduled for surgery and while she was waiting, she lost two diamond rings – including her wedding ring. She feels that they had been removed from her finger.
Here’s what happened. Anne Mainwood was asleep in her ward when she lost her rings. She’s a grandmother and she’s pretty sure that she must have lost them at that time, when they must have been quietly slipped out from her fingers. So a police complaint has been made and they are investigating. Unfortunately, they have no witnesses and the old lady couldn’t tell them too as she was asleep.
This is probably why it is standard practice in most hospitals to ask patients not to come in with any jewellery or valuables and to leave them at home. It just means that temptation is kept out of the way for the staff.

Argentium silver has been patented and trademarked by the UK company, the Argentium Silver Company. Earlier, silver used an alloy when it came to making jewellery and it was made by adding 7.5% copper to 92.5% silver. This new alloy of silver replaces the copper with germanium which is a metalloid. It is the result of many years of research and what it offers are many advantages over the conventional silver alloy that has been used so far.
How does argentium silver make better wedding and engagement rings? It is much more ductile for one thing and is very tarnish-resistant. So it stays looking gleaming and beautiful for years. It is also extremely strong and hard. It eliminates the process of firescaling which means it is better from an environmental point of view, not to mention a lot of time saving.
What this new trend in using this alloy for wedding and engagement rings has done is to open the doors to more research being done in the field of silver alloys so that the metal can be much better for both the jeweller to work on and the customer to wear.
