55 Year Old Diamond Engagement Ring Lost
It’s in one of the classified ads that has appeared in a US newspaper in Concord and the lady who is no doubt old, didn’t want to reveal her name. The story behind the loss is poignant however.
It all began 55 years ago – on Easter Sunday to be precise. The man had hidden a Tiffany’s yellow gold diamond engagement ring inside a wax Easter egg and it was meant to be a surprise for the young girl he wanted to marry. She obviously accepted his proposal and soon she had a yellow gold wedding band to match.
Then, 55 years later, she lost both her rings and she does not know where as she was between doctors’ appointments and hair appointments. She’s offering a reward to get her rings back and she’s devastated that after so long, they are no longer on her finger. We do hope for her sake that she does find them.

I so understand this lady’s misfortune. I too, after 23 years have lost my beautiful wedding band and engagement ring. It was a gold hammered ring with three diagnol diamonds. My engagement ring was .75 carats and it was flanked by two sapphires.
I lost it on November 4th election day. I was so excited and inbetween work and going to school, I stopped at home for a minute, went upstairs and I think, while I went upstairs, a family member who was staying with us at the time, came home and stole my ring… Otherwise, I guess I threw it in the garbage….Go figure……………….
